It would be great to see varan, biollante, and king ghidorah in a reboot.
Mobile game? No...just no. This game is totally undermining what Godzilla meant in the trailer.
@MR. GOJI. I don't think that they are going to make those figures, but if they make it, i'm going to be happy.
Awful. He looks quite lame and not as terrifying as he should be. And why does his eyes look human?
Does the 24 inch already come painted or will I have to do it myself?
Does the 24 inch Neca Godzilla come non-painted and I have to paint myself or will it already come painted?
Guys, does anyone know if Bandai will make classic-style 6 inch vinyl figures, too?
I was laughing almost the whole time.
Bravo, well done
The language limit for PG-13 is saying "sh*t'' at least 5-6 times, "F*ck" once, "a$$" 9-10 x's, "b*tch" 6-7 times, "b*stard" 2-3 times, and "d*mn it" 3-4 times . So yeah, I highly doudt it that the movie will be R. This is what I think the MPAA rating will be "PG-13: Gun Violence, language, Dark Themes, Monster Violence, and Scary Images.'' Reply if you agree.
Hi guys,
I'm Godzilla fan from the UK here. Is there anyone from the UK that's been to Toys R US over here and noticed any merchandise being sold, just wondering whether its worth my time or not. Does anyone know whether the likes of Bandai or NECA distribute across the pond?
Japan is the appetizer, U.S. is the main course, and Russia is dessert.
The problem with that being that a lot of people don't want the subtitles versions of the films. Sure you'd sell to some hardcore fans, but I think just releasing the subtitle versions wouldnt generate much, if any profit. There are quite a few fans I'm sure that wouldn't be interested in the subtitle versions of the movies, especially the younger ones.
it won't Rated R it will be Rated PG-13 (i hope)
besides, if it's Rated R then it will include HUMAN Gore, Strong Bad Language/Bad Language and of course, Nudity
it's impossible for it to be Rated R i think It's rated PG-13
@Raydar
Seriously?
Unleashed was horrible. I don't want anything remotely like unleashed ever made again. It was a spit in the eyes of anyone who likes real video games. Sure, numbtards who have barely played video games might think its great, but it was a miserably bad game. Bigger rosters don't mean anything if all the monsters handle like crap.
Am I the only one absolutely hating the way godzilla look on that coverart for the book? I'm all for bearzilla, but god... those jows.
Yay, lawyers ruining crap for everyone like always.
I wish toho would just do the tsuburaya thing and release their japanese films with subtitles.
sure I'd like to have the english version on disc, but I wouldn't miss it much.
"Smash 3" is for smashing 3 puzzle pieces or more to proceed through the game. It's not meant to be a sequel.
Here's some information I dug up from 2009. Apparently it's still true today:
To make a long story short, Anchor Bay has the rights to New World's library of movies released between 1984 and 1991. (New World released Godzilla 1985 and no longer exists today) Toho does not recognize Anchor Bay as the rightful owner of Godzilla 1985. This could possibly be because of the original contracts between Toho and New World Pictures. In order for this movie to see a legitimate release, the rights to New World will most likely need to expire so that Toho can then sell them again.
As of 2014 the rights have yet to expire.
When May 6th hits this year, Godzilla 1984/85 will be the only Heisei Godzilla movie to not be released on DVD or Bluray.
you know what, i am saying this is fake, heres why, one its the exact same picture but with the color edited.
two, the spines are to bunched up and way to high up the neck,
also, notice how there is the title plus smoke covering the area underneath where the body cuts out in th eplate, and the area on the plate where the title blocks part of godzillas neck is totally black with no detail.
i could be wrong but i think this is fan made, still cool, but fan-made
I think, on a more global and political scale, Godzilla vs. Biollante is an interesting peek at the real world reacting to Godzilla. Think about it:
Godzilla survived the effects of nuclear bombs-- finding out the secret to how he survived those effects would be world altering. Suddenly atomic warfare means less. Thus, with Godzilla's cells scattered all over Tokyo in 1984 it made sense that varies countries and agents would be sent to Tokyo to try and study them.
Other countries would want that information kept secret. Why? So nuclear arms retain their danger and effectiveness, of course. The fictional country, Sardina, wanted Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria because if it proved effective at neutralizing Godzilla, it could also neutralize nuclear energy/fallout.
Experimentation with Godzilla cells could lead to mutation and misfires, as seen with Biollante herself. There's no guarantee Godzilla's secrets would be unlocked immediately.
Godzilla's existance would plunge the politcal world into absolute chaos. The fact that he can survive the effects of nuclear weapons means the answer to neutralizing its effects lie with him. If anyone gets that kind of information you get... well... you get the kind of stuff we saw in Godzilla vs. Biollante indefinitely.
this is what i was talking about
i cant put my finger on it, but something just looks off about it, something seems different from what we see on empire magazine for example,( not saying its fake or anything, so please, dont argue about that with me), it looks a lot like the party supply things, were those official by the way?, i dont recall.
"Smash 3"? why "3?" whats does three have to do with anything... and the puzzle game idea is crap. i would be willing to pay even $6 and up for a godzilla game where you could fight other monsters or even just rampage as godzilla through a city. The puzzle game is a huge turn off to me, and I don't understand the meaning behind the "3." I'd honsetly rather just have the movie itself, rather than a lame puzzel game. What we need is an updated version of something like "Godzilla Unleashed" but with a bigger monster roster, better graphics, and more game modes, and accessable on different consolse. People who bought "godzilla unleashed" for ps2 wasted their money when the wii version had better content, but lacked the prefered gameplay of the previous fighting games like "save the earth" and "destroy all monsters."
wait a sec, godzilla smash...3!?
what the hell does the 3 mean? o_0
@Dragonlord
Those blue Godzilla pieces were confirmed fake a long time ago. It's not the same thing. Unless the picture you posted above is a fake as well-- unlikely though.
"Maybe it's best that some monsters be allowed their oddity."
Well said, Something Real. I think this explains how Godzilla should be and represents the issues of the film on a multilayered, thematic scale.
Anyone but Mothra, Ghidorah, or Mechagodzilla.
Added more photos to the original post, thanks again to Nuclear_Napalm!
DEFINETELY Godzil... oh wait....
I don't know :/ I really like how the design is looking so far, but the spines still look small to me. In the toys, the spines are kind of small. But in the trailer and some images the spines look big enough. I really like the design they have, but his spines should be this big, menacing feature, not something that seems just in there for the fact of just putting spines on a creature...
Kaiju movie sales would plummet.
Definately a re-take on Biollante!
Can you imagine how terrifying they could make it?
Baddass!

Anguirus definitely.
Gigan. Gigan everything! Also shouldn't this technically belong in the Classic Godzilla discussions?
Guys this is merchandise related, post it in the merchandise thread please.
