The other small kaiju, I don't want to see the main kaiju until I see the movie. I've seen the theatrical trailer, although it was incomplete, and it looked decent enough for an unfinished project. I really want them to push a bit of the horror aspect being pushed instead of just a few action scenes, but I also don't want them pretty much ruining every plot point and twist there is before we even see the damn thing.

I'd love to see Godzilla in person. You didn't have to apologize until you said Godzilla is a dinosaur. That got me a tiny bit angry, as a dinosaur freak.

Legendary, as far as I'm aware, is trying to keep the movie(s) rather realistic, as far as Godzilla can be considered realistic. So, I don't think we'll see a Godzilla v. Godzilla movie anytime soon. Besides, I think the GMK suit is already deteriorating. So, unless they remake it, I don't think Godzilla from GMK will be in anymore Godzilla films on TOHO's part, much less Godzilla v. Godzilla. I like the idea, but not from Legendary. It'd have to be done by Toho, because Toho can, and usually does, create outlandish Godzilla movies. That being said, I'd love to see the movie, just not yet though.

It's the one that way leaked a few weeks ago. Not the one that was released for about an hour, and then taken down.

I'd rather not piss myself, Equinoqs. Godzilla can stay in the movies where he belongs.

For the legendary series (if there is one), yes it's ridiculous. But if it were apart of a toho series then yes it's a good idea.

Sam,I think a plot twist for the upcoming movie next year might have been revealed! Nuking Godzilla in this movie actually makes sense,seeing as how he's going to be immune to any conventional weaponry,the monsters he will fight will inevitably be defeated,and humanity is going to be desperate for a quick solution. A nuke is humanity's most powerful weapon currently (the Oxygen destroyer is sadly just a dream),and this could set up some more human drama and intensity for sequels by having it so that nations are furious at each other for the usage of nukes against Godzilla,as well as the fact that he's likely not going to be killed by them either.

Eh hard to call I can't really decide between Ghidorah the Three-headed monster, Monster Zero, or Godzilla vs King Ghidorah. I guess I'll go with Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah since I'm a heisei era fanboy, but it's extremely close

Giving rights for a comic book and a movie are two very different things as movies are more expensive, and take longer to make. That along with the fact that movies are much more in the public eye than comics. If a comic does bad then that's fine it won't be universally known and when the next issue comes out in a few months it will all be forgotten, but we all know that when a movie does bad it's everywhere. The internet tv, even the newspaper will have reviews for said movie. As for no one taking it seriously if you've noticed the current trend for superhero and scifi movies is moving to a dark serious tone over the campy 1. To come out with movies like Man of Steel, the avengers, and the upcoming Godzilla which all seem to take themselves very seriously to go full 180 and go to the campy B movie would not meet with a positive reaction. Overall I could see a possible animated strait to dvd movie coming out which I would definitely buy if only for the marquee value and sheer enjoyment I'd get out of seeing the campy showa Godzilla again, but that's because I'm a long time fan, and it would be nostalgic, for most it wouldn't be worth looking into.

I think I'm the one who should apologize to you for coming accross as a bit of a dick in that last thread. Like many people here I react upon impuls when I'm tired. But while we're on the subject, does anyone else here think Godzilla's appearance in the first leaked teaser might be the aftermath of a nuclear bomb being dropped on him or in his vicinity? The massive amounts of smoke and dust clouding his image could very well be fallout radiation and the bits of building crumbling off his back could be the result of being buried under rubble by the explosion.

Yeak I know lol, just wanted to see if this would spark any discussions. I still think it's a poosibility despite it not exactly being a good thing though it has potential to be. After all, Dizney have a nack for getting their grubby hands on anything successful.

One of the many negatives of comment talking is the lack of emotion, so this all sounds argumenative to me when really it's usually the exact opposite. You know, someone, I believe it's Gojifan93, or something like that, does this on his channel. He's got about 150 fan requested showdowns. He then plays one of the Pipeworks Godzilla trilogy games, and whoever wins.. wins. But, I'd like to see Godzilla and Anguirus x Bagan and Destoroyah

Personally, I prefer the trailers not show Godzilla in full detail, just leave hints of it till we actually get a full look at him in the film. Kind of how Jurrassic Park was built up, the trailer never showed much of the dinos till you wen't to see the film.

Do you think Toho WILL prevent such a thing and ignore the financial gain.........I just answered my question didn't I. @MIKETHEG7453 - "It would kinda ruin the whole believability thing with Godzilla." That's why I said it would most likely be a different Godzilla totally seperate to the one we're gonna get to know next may. You know, like how DC films are creating a different Batman for the next Man of Steel film. And on the subject on whether the Avengers would be a match for big G, come on! Surely there can be ways to write around both forces and please both fans. Godzilla pretty much fought the Avengers to a standstill in the comics and that wasn't even the entire ensemble. And who says the Avengers have to tackle big G head on when they could use their combined wit and outsmart the beast? And hey! This could also be a chance to get in some of Godzilla's more outlandish foes into the picture like Gidorah, Megalon or Gigan making G a possible off-hand Avengers ally. Why not?

to me, it will always be the first film. His origin out of the fire ball, his gravity bolt attack on the city when every building exploded. He battled three monsters to a stand still, he was never depicted as that powerful ever again. it just stands out to me...

Even those two though would be no more than annoying to him. His atomic blast would turn both into ashes. If were are going to compare Godzilla to a marvel character , maybe something like Eternity. One of the galactic beings or something...

This is something I have thought about myself . But I would fashion each park to feature 3 statues. much like Kings Island has the tower, these parks would have statues of monsters built to actual size. Imagine seeing three giant monsters miles from the park as you approach. you would have to travel to different parks to see the rest of the monsters. crazy idea I know...

@Miketheg7453 I agree. The only Avengers that stand any chance are Thor and Hulk, but Thor can't do anything to hurt Godzilla without getting too close for his own good and Godzilla would absorb all of Hulk's radiation turning him into weak Banner again.

It would kinda ruin the whole believability thing with Godzilla. In my opinion, as much as I love Marvel heroes, Godzilla would turn every one of them into dust. Godzilla is above and beyond humanity and all it can do. Period. Can't stop him, hurt him, or kill him. To be in his very presence is death itself.

I can say with 100% positivity that there will not be a real action theatrical release of Godzilla meets the Avengers. An animated strait to dvd version possibly, though also very unlikely, but never a live action theatrical release

Imagine if Godzilla was truly that size though. Looks to be at least 1000 feet tall.

Nuking Godzilla is like trying to kill superman by throwing him into the sun, or drowning Mario in a sea of mushrooms. You might slow him down for a bit but in the end you're only making things worse for yourself.
