Man that almost looks like he could go quadreped at times, like when he wants to go fast. Almost, warewolf. The head is much more forward than earlier Goji's
Since it is widley anticipated in Japan as well, I would have thought it would have a game but, you would have heard buz about it by now,so who knows. Since Toho is envolved, their will be a new marketing push for the old movies. You will see a bunch of blue ray and cloud based releases of old material. The old movies will show up in greater numbers on VueDoo and NetFlix. Toys are obviously going to be a big factor, maby a new animated series? I would like to see the old showa monsters brought out in a live action TV series following the monster island story lines. You could even add hesi and milenial monsters to it as antagonist to the earth, or special guests. It would be better than Power rangers. Let good CGI rule the theaters but live auction continue to survive on Saterday morning TV.

But I can see what you complaining about, what I was focusing on was the genral neck and underside area, and that if you were to give goji 2000 a slightly diferent posture, you would get somthing very similar to goji 2014 not to mention the thigh and lower back area.

How I imagine his fighting style:
His tail shoud be quite long for a creature of that size, I dont know how much you guys know about austraila, but over here we have a lizard know as a goanna and Its main attack is useing its tail as a whip. So yeah imagine getting punded in the face by a tail the whith of a house.
The bite force of a creature that size would be emence! moar than enough to crack a MUTO skull...

Nah, Godzilla Junior and GodzillaFW are from two separate timelines. GodzillaFW was frozen in the 60s and was reanimated in the 2000s, Junior came to be in the 1990s.
I think the next trailer will probably be in front of 300: Rise of an Empire. Just a guess. But I think they'll have a fast food restaraunt chain hand out toys for kids, some tshirts and maybe even have the cast start promoting the movie, like Bryan Cranston doing a quick tv spot for AMC.
But I don't think this movie will have a video game attached to it.
I think the fisherman legend idea is probably what they'll do. lol

everyone thinks that the mutos are godzilla because they are so big, but when he shows up everyone is shocked that such a lifeform exsits.
My theory: maybe some japanese fishers were atacked by something and they say it was the ancient gojira, like they explained in that one szene from 1954 where they were dancing in the night. It also could be possible that ken watanabe (serizawa) explains what that giant dinosaur like creature is because he met him long time ago (maybe an gojira atack where he was a little kid)
@KYERO, Solid points sir! I guess I was so stuck on this subject because well, I personally wanna see a new way of fighting with this Godzilla in comparison to the others. Especially since this one is talking a more, "Real life approach" besides a "Fantasic" one. I just don't see him punching and slapping or kicking and 360 tail whipping like he use to. I love all that, but c'mon..that's kinda silly lol especially now. We won't know until the movie, but I picture lots of biting, slashing, and full body strikes, like the way a bear shoves with its body. Or how an elephant uses its full self to push. And maybe even grabbing. then again, I could be 100% off.
The one different between the two images above is something that was touched on before, Godzilla's posture between both are very different. When he stands at the end of the trailer in the dust cloud, his posture more closely resembles the traditional posture of the Heisei series. However, in that shot he's standing still which does in fact matter when taking it into account. When he's walking in the soldier's POV, it's closer to the angled/hunched posture of the 2000 version.
It's fair to say that our new Godzilla is going to spend most of his time upright when standing, but leaning forward when walking. After all, his tremendous bulk won't be able to stand perfectly upright when in motion.
You're right! I did develop teams for some of our sites. Our other site, AliensVersusPredator.net lets you choose teams as well. It's got an RPG in development also... Our Pacific Rim site also lets you choose a Jaeger or Kaiju as your team.
But as for Godzilla, I've been planning to get a teams system on here as well. More so a collection of the most popular Monsters and versions of Godzilla which members could use to represent themselves as.
It also allows for an RPG game down the road...
But happy to see people would be interested in teams for this site as well! I'll post up a thread probably in a week or two, asking members to submit their top 5 Monsters they'd like to see in our teams selection. Or, I could make a team for every Monster, but that might get cumbersome.
We'll see what the fans want and I'll gear the platform to what their decisions are. :)
doggiezilla, the teams are within each site, for example, the jurassic world one has team spino and a t rex team(im on that one).
if it is a series vs series deal i would probably be heisi, and for type of monster, i would go mutants brcause of godzilla and destroyah. i really hope someone can make it happen.

There's nothing to agree with in regards to the title. The title is a question and a question is resolved by an answer. If you just wanted a lot of people to say "yes" then you shouldn't have made the thread at all. There's no point in starting a conversation if you just want to invite a bunch of people that say "yes" over and over.

@JMAC15 - Godzilla's thermonuclear breath is not "hotter than the sun." If it were, it would be an instant vaporization of anything caught in its path. The sun's core is almost 24.5 million degrees fahrenheit, and its surface is approximately 9,944 degrees. Any and all monsters/machines/buildings caught in the wake of such temperatures would be instantly vaporized or melted. If it was hotter than the sun, not a single enemy Godzilla had ever faced would have been able to withstand it, let alone take multiple blasts of it. You should review your understanding of what his thermonuclear breath is and how it works. It's just a concentrated beam of radiation. Hot? Yes. Hotter than the sun? Not even close.
Anyway, on the subject of how he'll fight.
Godzilla, being as large and bulky as he is in this incarnation, will likely be relying on close quarters swipes with his hands, stomps and short kicks (and I mean short) with his feet, and tail whips against enemies directly behind him. Given how bulky he is, moving fast enough to strike at anything in any direction with his tail, let alone a quick 360, is not going to be possible. He's just too big and too bulky this time to pull that off. The MUTOs would see it coming from a mile away and it would never hit its mark.
His tail might not even get time as a weapon in this movie, as it didn't make it as a weapon until King Kong vs. Godzilla when it became long enough to fit the role. This new version seems to have gone back to the original tail with a shorter and stouter design which was meant more for balance than anything else. I doubt it will be used as a weapon this time given how short it is in the official poster.
As far as his nuclear breath is concerned, I have no answers. I'm not an expert in nuclear physics or how nuclear power is made, maintained, or used, so any input I have is based purely on experience with Godzilla and not on realistic happenings with nuclear power. However, I don't believe it will be quite as much of a special attack or a supercharged attack so much as it is another of Godzilla's weapons. Never in Godzilla's history did his nuclear breath require a recharge time, and I doubt that it will change anytime soon. His breath will likely be his primary weapon for anything out of arms reach, and I doubt very much that it will require a recharge time or receive any kind of supercharged treatment compared to what it used to be.
water bears are fascinating, if certain kaiju have similar attributes it would explain a-lot.

The showa godzilla just doesnt make any sense,some of them looks like gorilla,some of them looks like a deformed lizard,most of the looks like a sapien..The muso gojia and 54 goji is the better
i like that water bear theory, it seems very reasonable and would certainly be something different than what american audiences are used to seeing. nice observation.
