What really helped this trailer is the fact a lot of really pretty female celebs started promoting it on their facebook the moment they found out kid-from-kickass was in it. 

So thank god for that. 

i'd say in terms of fast foods it either going to be, KFC, Subway, Mcdonalds or pizza hut.

also there is nothing wrong with little monsters, it's just that the baby godzilla's were a rip off aliens, also godzilla's son has always been adopted, godzilla has never had a biological son, the fact that godzilla even reproduces is the main point of conceren with this movie.

Incredible. It has been over a month and a half and it is still beating out other trailers. That shows how cool that trailer is and how much people are interested in Godzilla.

Just leaving my usual opinion on the subject over here:

I find the negative reactions to be very funny because the naysayers are basing their opinions about Godzilla's new design on a very simplified toy made for little kids, toy's for kids don't even have enough details and are just produced for the sole purpose of becoming commercial tie in products to promote the movie when it releases. If they are basing your opinion on a single image then it seems that they've missed some of the previous leaks such as this one:

Every Godzilla figure is produced on a different quality and comparing a simple toy to the actual CGI product (that we will be watching in the final film) is just wrong because they're basing their entire perspective on something that will never resemble the final character with enough accuracy, just like this other toy:

Anyways, I will probably never make anyone reflect on this and they will probably dismiss this comment just as they always do, we are dealing with very dogmatic fans here and dogmatic people are never open to change so they never accept new things because their views on X subject are very rigid and therefore (according to them) they can't be wrong but others must be wrong: "Godzilla has to look like this...", "A Godzilla movie must look like the Heisei series...".

All I can bet is that if this movie was produced by Toho all naysayers would be praising the new design and claiming it to be a smart movement on the part of Toho to introduce the King to new generations.

No, Batman eats humans, not Godzilla. Godzilla eats squirrels-- by the truckload. 

I wouldn't be surprised if the MUTO's eat people (or feed on them) but, as other commentors have mentioned, Godzillas sheer size is enough for me to conclude that he won't eat people. He might crush a few in building rubble though as he stomps around

No way, The smallest thing any Godzilla's been said to eat are whales( and that was his son in Godzilla vs Destroyah) so it doesn't make sense he would switch to humans who are much smaller.  He's on a pure radiation diet as far as anyones concerned.

I've been watching Godzilla since my birth, I have a right to voice what I think, don't like it, cry about it. Go watch 1998 godzilla again? More like piss on it. You have no right to sit here and  voice down the opinions of others just because you agree. I have a voice, I have an opinion, I can say what the fuck I want to say. Pretty much end of story. My simple question was, why does he think the entire fandom of Gojira is wrong just because they voice what they think to the point he calls them out and tells them to stop whining. No one is whining but you guys because people voice themselves. Get over it, welcome to the Fandom of Godzilla where we can voice what we want and be heard. I also never said I disagreed with what he said, just sticking up for the ones who do disagree.

Giys i dont think it will be next friday. The teaser came out on a tuesday,right? Well next tuesday is the 100th day mark soo.. a tuesday, almost two months away from teaser, three months away from movie, middle of the week, lego movie coming out, 100th day mark... Keep your eyes peeled, but im just spectulating

Oh and dont say it wil come out on march 7th, that is WAY too late fir the first trailer. Heck if they had trailer snd they released one every month, they wouldnt be able to release all four, theovie will come out first

@KAIJUUFIN Don't have a right? Um I'm sorry but how do the people who are going to go pay to see this, and help finance this not have a right not complain? Sorry but they are most definitely the ones who have the most right to complain. If some1 doesnt like it they should say, oh well at least it's something and move on? No, if you have a problem with a design you should state what's wrong with it and make it known that you see there are problems. How else would anything get fixed?

It could be and I think that will be a good idea too.

My favorite roars are by far the roars of the original and the new Godzilla. Really powerfull, dark and scary. 
I also like Biollante and Destoroyah, Space Godzilla and Anguirus are good, too. 
Titanosaurus roar isn't very good, but it's funny

I think it wouldn`t make sense, if he eats humans. This is like we trying to eat ants, he has to eat thousands of them. 

I too think this latest permutation of the big guy is quite awesome.  I have the 90's Godzilla on my computer desk, and he is a chunky fella!

But im sure thats because Legendary is putting advertising money into a big bang of advertisement hitting us like Godzilla hits tokyo.

Educated guesses boasted by paumpus attitudes such as Kyero's are not 'common sense' they are educated guesses. If they were common sense, we wouldn't call them educated guesses. Though I agree with him, Legendary will probably tone the hell out of those concepts down, I'm not going to be a pretentious asshat about it walk around spouting my 'common sense' as gospel.

As for 'plausibility', if something is impossible, its not plausible. MEANING that creating an oxygen destroyer via splitting oxygen atoms is impossible and thus it can't be plausible. Plausible is assuming you can make a jump over a big GAP, or that you can eat twenty eggs. You might or might not be able to do it. Impossible is when something is FRICKEN IMPOSSIBLE.

GMK actually goes to great lengths to scientifically explain things. They go as far to say souls are electricity that is bound by the earth's magnetic field, including stones and such. We know for a fact that THOUGHTS and FEELINGS come from our brain, and thought are nueral electrical impulses that spark in our brain-- these impulses, like all electricity is bound by the magnetic field of the planet. These are scientific facts buckaroo and have every basis in reality where as 'oxygen destroyers' do NOT.

Godzilla and the other monsters 'absorbed' this electricity.

So in other words, Kaneko did his homework. Kaneko even tried to explain fantastical elemets like souls, afterlife, and giant monsters through science. 

Gojira 54 only ever said Godzilla was a dinosaur, that was it. No explenation of anything.

@JORDAN SWICKARD People have been complaing about the feet and spines so much that it's getting ANNOYING! People don't have the right to whine about the new design. They should be happy that we're even getting a new Godzilla film and the monster actually looks like Godzilla! Go watch 1998 Godzilla if you love it so much!

But I do agree, it was quite fun when we knew very little. But as is the nature of the beast, with more leaks and trailers, more will be uncovered. Thankfully Legendary is keeping many aspects still a secret, which I enjoy.

Hey Chris remember how the forums were right after the first Godzilla teaser was shown. I remember being in more than one debate about Godzilla. And remember all of the fan art my personal favorites are still these ones.

Hey Valkorin, thanks for the hat tip! Haha But don't feel discouraged about the add clash of opinions. Every forum goes through it, especially ours, since they're geared for upcoming movies. You should've seen our Prometheus forums when Prometheus was a hot topic, haha. We went through quite the blackout period when people started voicing many differing opinions and it only gotmore nuts after the film came out. But look at it now, it's still very active and more mellow, in terms of heated debates.

It comes and goes, but what matters is that people respect one another. I agree the bickering with no counter argument can get annoying and I avoid such topics. But many ofthe discussions being posted are quite engaging! :)

@Akagi No, there is no way in hell splitting atoms to dissolve things is even CLOSE to as unrealistic as evil vengeful spirits forming into a giant demonic monster. It may be pseudo-science, but that is not nearly the same as flat-out fantasy. And saying that something being scientifically impossible makes it "pseudo science fiction" is laughable, nearly all sci-fi is based on pseudo-science. And, in Kyero's defense, saying Legendary's Godzilla will not have any mystical elements doesn't make him a know-it-all, it's just common sense.

I don't think there's a point to such a movement, honestly.

The leak of the 2012 teaser was not done due to any movements or mass tweets, so why would we expect it to work with this one? Legendary has no reason to release the 2013 teaser this close to the release of the film. The 2012 teaser was released in October, which was on the 7 month mark away from the release of the film. Unless I'm missing something, we still don't know who leaked it or why they did it, and anyone claiming to know without providing a source is full of crap and should not be given any attention.

It has hype, some hype. If I tell people about the trailer, they say there is a Godzilla trailer.
