Yeah InstinctiveGigan, your right it wasnt that big of a deal, I just wanted Godzilla to be bigger so that I could punch a hole the size of Godzilla in Kyeros annoying ego.
I like his feet! >:[
I don't think it's that big of a deal, so he's only a little bit taller; so WHAT? I think we can at least all agree this Godzilla is much more massive. He may be just slightly taller than the others but he's clearly bigger in mass and overall size. Height isn't everything.
Amazing! Nice find, bro!
Andy Serkis huh? Funny, he's played Godzilla and King Kong now. Wonder if he feels special?
Just to clarify, did Gareth Edwards explicitly and definitively say that there would be NO other Toho kaiju besides Godzilla whatsoever, period, or did he just say that the Mutos specifically wouldn't be a modern version of some Toho kaiju?
I ask this because A) I've heard various statements from fans that no other classic Toho kaiju besides Godzilla would show up, but without any clear citations for this assertion, and B) I've also heard reports of some centipede-like monster that pretty much every source I've come across say is completely separate from the Mutos.
Check your mail ;)
I think he said "nature is in our control."
He didn't say "nj," he said "nature." Admittedly, that can be a little hard to make out with Watanabe's accent.
ok thanks
I will ask Chris for help now
Haven't heard anything like that, so probably not.
There have been 90 second FAN CUTS circulating the web posing as "international trailers" with release dates photo-shopped in, but they aren't official or anything.
That's all I know.
plz someone edit i want to to see this
Hello Bowsher17. Thank you for upload all these images in the Imgur page. You have made available a great gift to all of us that can't obtain the magazine.
At this moment, this article is the most complete "official" information about the movie that we have.
Can someone make the link clickable?
If M.U.T.O. also applies to the monsters, could the abreviation spell:
M: mutated
U: unidentified
T: terrestrial(earth dweller, not from space)
O: organism
I think that could be the abreviation right there
Maybe he is a lizard in the new movie? Calm your cowboys.
Hey all! Glad to see everyone is so happy to see and read the article. Very happy you all were able to see it. I just wanted to put my two cents in and let you know I was the one that originally uploaded it on imgur. Enjoy!
What baffles me is that either trailer has ANY dislikes!
Must be the only 2,266 people on planet Earth who thought GINO was the best "Godzilla" movie. 785 of them were probably all from Roland Emmerich's mother... :)
Godzilla Himself:
Thank you! I'm not here to blast anyone's opinions or get into an argument, but... the precambrian era was completely void of oxygen. It didn't exist yet on Earth. The environment was completely anaerobic, meaning only small (for the most part, microscopic) lifeforms had developed. Even in the realm of giant monsters and mutations, a multicellular organism on the scale of Godzilla could never exist in that era. Later on? Perhaps. But not in a world without oxygen.
Emmerick is "burned" because his creation failed and now that a new director show him how most be a proper Godzilla movie, he is just spewing words like a jilted. Shame on him.
Let's focus in the movie, it is way more important the the words of a second class director. :o)
I've showed the trailer to about everyone at my college and they are all extremely excited to see it and none of them are G-fans like us. And surprisingly, none of them mentioned the Zilla movie.
Probably not the best idea, dude. For the past 60 years Godzilla has been known as the "giant fire-breathing Lizard" any time he's mentioned or parodied, so even though he isn't a lizard per say, that's what he is known as.
I couldn't help but read the small Roland Emmerich article to the side. Guy seems to be a bitch if u ask me. "I wanted to do a meteor movie, but Godzilla was thrown at me and I was like ok whatever" "I asked some guy to design it, showed it to 12 japanese guys, for some reason they liked it and I made the movie." "Then Michael Bay got to do the movie I wanted." Is basically how I read that article.
Totally rude way of looking at things, but I guess if I had zero care into making the movie and it sucked and flopped, I guess I would be a punk about it too.
Without actually seeing your tweet, it's hard to say....but airing on the the side of caution, I would say you shouldn't do things like that.
Even if they are wrong, it doesn't make us look good to whine over technicalities. The better foot we put forward, the more people we can encourage to see the movie.
And besides, you can't know for 100% sure that they are actually wrong :-) Slight trolling here but: Godzilla has had multiple origin stories in the movies....in one version he WAS indeed a lizard.....maybe Legendary will also make their version a lizard :-) You can't know they won't til the movie comes out.......
Could be a emp from a nuclear blast either bomb or Godzilla fireing his ray/pulse.
Or like some of your say the muto did it.
Or they stopped flying from lack of oxygen. Since we know a Serizawa (maybe the one maybe not) is in the film.
Way to long to be a Godzilla. Could be a tail of a Godzilla. But likely a muto or another monster.
Well, I was hoping that the 350' measurement would be his height whilst hunched over normally, but I can live with it being the full one.
The surge yes anything moving in water even more so with things that are not streamlined to go in water Godzilla verus boats are made for water. Is going to be pushing up alot of water. But the amount of water is a bit much.
They are a general entertainment magazine, they can't know about every detail and they can't be obscure... How exactly would you describe Godzilla for the general public? Most sites/people do in fact refer to him as a lizard.
Pause at what time in the moive? I don't see any windows open. Watched the trailer many times.
I've already met way too many people who are asking is this a sequel to the 1998 film. It hurts! I wish the trailer would have had a big text saying: THIS FILM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SONY'S GODZILLA!
@ luisshizz
the acting was good for the CGi around them. But I think the acting in the cartoon was better. Slitly.
That's the best explanation, thank you for finally clearing that up for me, I'd been trying to figure that out for the longest time.
Ok just because they are not 6-8 inchs tall does not mean that they are not a refence/easter egg to the twins.
Remember back in the Godzilla, Mortha gaint monsters all out attack? When mortha flew over there was 2 twins or people that looked alike shown. By your thinking that they would not be a refence to the twins.
How about this, it's movie, no matter how realistic they want it to be, a giant fire-breathing proto-saur will never be deemed realistic. However, a few of you raise a good point, as humans we are limited as to what we know about our planet, we are still learning about the ancient earth and god only knows what else we haven't discovered on this planet buried under our very feet or in our oceans. True scientists never rule anything out as impossible.
