MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-27-2014 7:28 AMHello guys.
As I discussed in another topic: http://www.godzilla-movies.com/community/forums/topic/31782
I have the proofs of what the HALO jump was meant for.
Halo jump HAS THE PURPOSE TO GUIDING GODZILLA IN SOME DIRECTION BY THE MILITARY. I'm guessing towards the MUTO, or maybe to a military trap. I'm going for the first.
There's the influence of Jurassic Park on this, but in a giant scale. Do you remember this scene?
Well, only one man is needed in the case of a T-rex but, how do you get the attention of Godzilla? He is huge!
The idea is to pass in front of its eyes from the sky.
Why jumping from a so high altitude? well, there's a winged MUTO destroying every airplane, that's why... and that may be the reason they are not using an helicopter or another thing with this purpose instead of soldiers.
WHEN they catch the attention of the beast, another soldiers starts to shoot flares from the rooftops.
AND THE FINAL EVIDENCE, MAYBE THE STRONGEST ONE:
YOU CAN SEE THE HALO JUMPERS FALLING AND MORE SOLDIERS USING FLARES TO GUIDE GODZILLA TO SOME PLACE.
Mistery solved.
What to you think guys?

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-27-2014 12:54 PMI completely agree with you. As explained in gojira 54 and godzilla raids again(1955) they explain godzilla is attracted to lights and they try to guide him away from tokyo(seen in godzilla raids again).

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-27-2014 6:59 PMThat's the best explanation, thank you for finally clearing that up for me, I'd been trying to figure that out for the longest time.
