@GAMESPIDER22- That actually sounds really cool and looks really plausible.
Hey guys, looking back at the TV spot trailer, doesnt the MUTO look a bit smaller than what he should be? It might be a bad angle from where we're viewing I don't know
Very cool ;D
Alright Eminem and Green Day are my top 2
I like heavy metal. my favourite band is Avenged sevenfold
Nietzsche likes metal. Preferably Viking Metal, but I'll take just about any type.
The above is Tyr, who're probably the closest you'll ever get to modern-day Vikings. Faeroes Islanders, the Old Norse language still exists in pieces there.
And that's Powerwolf. The only metal you'll find with vampire and such overtones that isn't some emo Twilight-inspired bullshit. Fuck that.
Very cool.
Moved to Godzilla Fan Works.
I was thinking the same about Mutos, created monsters to serve a single purpose. Check out The Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells if you're into Chimera. Genetics is a very interesting concept, and vastly used within fiction
;)
and i already know whats the deal about muto eggs in the main trailer you'll see some kind of missile covered in tentacles holding orange shining balls (the eggs)
i discuss this in an old discussion about the mutos evolve or something they start white and i guess they keep growing bigger and everything and remember the old airport scene thing back then the muto is white but in the toys they're black so they evolve or something but i guess it has something to do with nuclear radioation or something
must get own phone only 11 years old must get phone....
btw is it available for android?
I enjoy nearly every music genre, however the older country songs(mainly Johnny Cash ones) are at the top of my list. Justine bieber is unfathomably deep bellow zero in my list.
ah sorry, 'overall really' left on there at the end as a typo. my bad.
it looks to me that thats the winged muto if you look closely and the jaw looks like the one in the toys
I like the jagged/angular (rather than 'puffy') spines of the Millenium series. I'm glad to see that Godzilla 2014 seems to be going for that look as well.
I do really the 'GMK'ish jaw in that it's squared off in the G2014 design, not rounded or dopey like a lizard's or something. It gives it the sense of having a more powerful biteforce, as well as making it look more intimidating.
The plated 'crocodilian' like skin texture is a cool new feature, and gives an awesome look of natural armor, rather than just skin.
I am concerned about the 'bulk' of him though. I do want a Godzilla that can brawl well, as well as be flexible, sneaky, or nimble in a way. His frame seems very similar to the Heisei Godzilla, and that I don't like.
But with the CGI work, maybe Godzilla 2014 will retain a decent amount of mobility. Hard to say without seeing the movie.
Overall, I'm very happy with the new design. I'll need to be able to see how it moves though before I can finalize my opinion of it.
@dannyblazor
"any type" of music, right....from extreme emo-core to blood on the dance floor. got it.
WE GOT TO SEE THE MUTO!!! FINALLY!!! I AM SO HAPPY :D
I don't listen to music.
I don't own a CD player, ipod, itunes, any of it. I don't listen to music in the car, I just haven't heard anything that I would want to seek out.
That being said, that doesn't mean I hate music or anything. I usually let my friends control the radio when I'm driving, I'm not the type to ask people to turn it down or anything.
It's just nothing I would look for if it hasn't already been turned on by somebody else. I got a roommate who has a Bachelor's in Music Performance. We get along....but yeah, confuses the crap out of them :-) But hey, they don't like Godzilla, so we're even :-)
My favorite suits have always been G2000(Due to the agressive and unique design) and G1954(Due to it being a classic yet scary design). I feel that this Godzilla is a cross between those two. Astonishing while also being terrifying.
This Godzilla just looks plain mean and pissed off but it is so awesome! This will be epic!
I wonder if the Godzilla is ever changing due to post production or if its story related. I think the differentt colors are due to battle damage, that lates image he looks pretty jacked up in
What if: Godzilla is growing rapidly in the film
What if: If his spines are used as weapons and he can extend and withdraw them at will, that would be a neat feature, could explain the difference in size of them
What if: There actually is more than one Godzilla, I said on an earlier post that the finale could be a "Gorgo" moment where at the last minute, momma zilla saves her infant from the mutos and man.
My 2 cents...
Im thinking the Muto can change color like a chameleon. Hence the grey color in daylight
Fascinating.
Wish I had the Super Premium Godzilla.
If you look closely to you can see the MUTO's red eye.
@Destroyah-X:
Interesting comparison! But that warhead scene you are referencing... that's not a tenticle. Gareth confirmed this in his Empire trailer breakdown video. It looks like eggs or embryos are growing on it to me. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.
I honestly think there will be a third surprise MUTO of around Godzilla's size that will give him a worthy fight or.......there would just be more MUTO's that haven't been revealed. I won't lie, I would be a bit disappointed if these were the only 2 MUTO's in the movie. Then again this is an origin story so I can't complain.
I don't think its that small I just think its a distant angle of it. Also if you watch the slow mo loop of it it appears to change colors and in the other thread about the Tv spot godzillasaurus rex uploaded two screenshots of the muto and it appears to change colors or go almost translucent.. Pretty interesting
Definitely looks like the winged MUTO, you could see its wings in the screenshot.
Thank you for biting, everyone ;)
All jokes aside, the military planes you used as examples still resemble nothing still LOL
Good MUTO isCaptured
