Legendary Ebirah Origin:

Ebirah is the last of the species of Giant Crustaceans. Millions of years ago, these creatures would prey upon large aquatic animals with it's massive claws.
The Giant Crustaceans were prey to the Godzilla species, however they are much faster and their grip can snap a Godzilla's arm/leg/neck in half.

When high radiation was scarce on Earth, Ebirah along with other giant creatures, fell into a dormant state in the depths of the oceans until the rise of Godzilla due to Atomic Bomb tests.
