WHAT A BIG DAY! All these new pictures and sneak peeks! However, what interests me more than everything that has happened today, is the new Godzilla roar! But, I have a question... Is it really a roar?
Just hear me out, but I think that it's Godzilla firing his atomic ray/gas/beam. It doesn't sound like a roar!
I think the ending of the sound is Godzilla inhaling after firing his flamming atomic beam.
Now, I could be totally wrong, but to me it doesn't sound like an organic, Godzilla roar.

I did think it sounded quite long to be a roar... but then he does have huge lungs.

mmmm.... you know something you might be right about that needless to say i really cant wait for this movie now i really love the empire magazine cover it reminds me so much of the original 1954 design but it is upgraded a whole lot i can say without a shadow of a doubt now that this design is my 2nd favorite unless i see more of him :)

MemberBaragonFeb-24-2014 3:30 PMWow, you have a great point there! When I heard the roar, it seemed awfully long and somewhat artificial in the middle. I wondered what was going on, and this seems like a great explanation! You can even hear a "woosh"in the background that cuts out when the "oooonnk" starts that couldbe his breath firing!
