With the 2014 American Godzilla finally near, and to celebrate my 300th post, I can't help but look back where it first began (for us fans at least)... the 2012 Comic Con Teaser.

After this image was first released, fans everywhere started to create their own version of the monster based off of the head/neck. The two below are my favorites from that time period (and in order of which I liked more)...

Feel free to post your 2012 Legendary Pictures Godzilla speculation fan-art (favorite or one you made) for further comparisons of the 2012 fan-made vs the official design...

Ah yes, I remember all the ugly depictions of Godzilla.

I also remember the MUTO drawing being released. Kinda sad that we thought that was accurate.

TRUE AMERICAN GODZILLA - This is an incredibly fun topic! Yes, indeed I do remember the first little tidbits we had the pleasure of seeing back in 2012. From there, all manner of wild speculation began to spread across the web like a fire storm! It's so fascinating to see how far we've come form those days. Looking back, I can't help but smile - and it's because you brought this topic up. Thank you so very much! :)

I think the funniest thing was when IMDB and the Godzilla wiki had Tommy Wiseau listed as a cast member. I couldn't wait for the "you're tearing me apart Godzilla!" line to happen in the movie.

JUGGERNOT18 - I had no idea of what he did. All I know is that I'm extremely upset that he might not be back. Despite his rough edges and no-nonsense demeanor, I could tell he was a very fun person underneath. He just wanted to bring us interesting things to see and enjoy. I...know that he sometimes crossed the line with regards to what he was allowed to post. Even so, I always felt he was a wonderful character at this site. I will miss hime awefully if he never returns. Regardless, thank you so very much for the information concerning him. I appreciate it immensely.
