1. Evolution :
the mutos are shown to change color throughout the trailer and leaks and we know the toys are capturing the mutos's look very well and so here are my thoughts why the mutos change color throughout the trailer.the mutos start of white or grey like the one in the train scene where it bites the train and the part where it flies down the battleship and the one with the leg stomping the ground my guess is they evolve soon so these are my thoughts about the color when they evolve they start grey and looks like a spider (the one in the sdcc airport footage) then soon they gain a red energy around them and they gain more strength (the leg stomping the ground) then they take their final form.
2.ancient enemy or human engineered?:
in a description of the giant sized godzilla box it says that the mutos were ancient foes of godzilla but in another description it says that they were created my man's ignorrance so this is my thought they were ancient foes of godzilla then they saw one frozen fighting another godzilla i saw what seems to be a godzilla under the ice in the art of destruction book so thats my proof and then they dug the mutos up then they start experimenting on them or their EGGS then yeah u know.
3.eggs:
in one scene in the trailer it seems that there seems to be a missile covered in tentacles with glowing lights and in a certain tv spot there seems to be a claw(weapon?) covered with the same material but frozen so this is my thought the leaked script is real (sorta) and the gloing balls of light are the mutos's eggs so they were attached i guess to nuclear weapons and the frozen scene with the same lights this is my guess the mutos eggs don't hatch in a cold environment to survive so humanity can experiment with them.
