The MC vs Godzilla

So I've been feeling like nearly all the main characters caught between Godzilla and Hokmuto's showdown will meet their untimely demise at their hands, directly or otherwise. If by some unfortunate chance the people that we've seen who evacuated to the football stadium in on of the tv spots are all killed if a muto or even Godzilla himself appears what are the chances that we can see the main character go on a suicide mission to confront Godzilla should he lose his family to the beast at the 4th quarter of the film?
