MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2014 6:54 PMI would like to clarify some things in the trailer that were in the leaked script. I won't be spoiling the whole movie, I will only be pointing things out that were in both things.
1. The nuclear missile with Godzilla painted on it.
2. The conspiracy. In the leaked script, it was stated the nuclear tests were attempts to kill Godzilla.
3. The giant skeleton. I won't spoil what it's from, but it was in the script.
4. The bioluminescence coming from the muto claw. In the script, the Mutos were described as being bioluminescent.
5. Soldiers finding something with a radioactive symbol and weird goop on it.
6. Las Vegas being attacked.
7. The Golden Gate Bridge torn in half and ships in the bay surrounded by fog.
8. The weird tentacle thing feeding off of the nuclear missile.
9. Godzilla rising out of the sea in front of an island and a nuke being detonated.
If this doesn't prove the script's legitimacy, then I don't know what does.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2014 7:10 PMVery studious of you! I haven't read the leaked script, but if what you're saying is true then I'd say this is definitely confirmed.
I also appreciate you not spoiling anything. You certainly had a number of opportunities but you decided to stay classy.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2014 7:18 PMInteresting. Maybe some parts of it are true?
I'm still not buying the whole "iceberg" idea, as well as the female and male Mutos either.
Also, it states that "Bryan Cranston's character works at the nuclear facility in Hokkaido that melts down. The meltdown is blamed on a flaw from his design", which is pretty different compared to what the trailer is saying.

that's because it was a script in 2012, an old one, the iceberg parts were most likely scrapped. In an interview with Elizabeth Olsen, she tells them that Gareth Edwards had a first draft of the script (the one GhostKaiju is talking about) but did not like it at all. So there is a rewrite, but with some ideas still in tact.

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2014 10:08 PMYeah, I made a thread like this a while ago. Fans are still adding it up to mere chance that so many things are accurate and right.
Either way-- I know the script was real, they're going to continue to argue its not, even after the film comes out. Being wrong hurts them deep down in a place they don't care to explore.
That and I also think for some reason a bunch of fans had this... idea of what the movie is, this preconcieved notion and the script goes against it.
So while they are telling us that the script is fake, they are coming up with weird theories about Winged Muto being Rodan, more than one Godzilla fighting in the film, and believing poorly made toy previews are real.

@Akagi
Please don't include me in that list just so you can make a rhetorical point. I have not seen the leaked script and have no opinion on whether it is fake or real.

Not sure how I need to chillout, but the church of "more than one Godzilla' is a generalization of the group of people that subscribe to the theory you cooked up.
You can receive my criticism of it however you like, I don't really care if you get offended or just laugh it off, whoever is right and wrong in all this-- it doesn't matter. I mean, really, isn't the whole act of being boastfully proud and righteous about how right one person is... pretty pointless? I mean, I've been right about a lot of things, but does it REALLY matter, will I be sitting at my death bed one day thinking "sure am glad I argued with all those people on the internet when I could be spending that time with people I love!". Its a scary line of thought to get into.
Just making a point that fans are more likely to follow their own theories and ignore the facts. Thus far, there is a far greater chance that the script is real than ever and no matter how much people deny it, its not going to change that fact.
While they continue to deny it-- they fall in troves to theories that have little or no backing. Whether its the multi-Godzilla theory, the Muto Rodan Theory, it honestly doesn't matter. If you came up with the theory, yet don't deny the script's legitimacy, that is fine-- I'm just generalizing those who whole heartedly agree with your theory, despite its vagueness and lack of evidence, and denounce the theory that the script is real-- despite the overwhelming evidence that it is.
If any of that makes sense

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2014 10:43 PMIt doesn't matter one whit to me whether the leaked script is real or fake.
I'm confused about your desire to be "right" in discussions about the movie. Big deal, really. Just because you chose read a leaked script and ruin the movie for yourself doesn't make you more knowledgeable than fans who are waiting to see the movie on its own terms.
It's as if you're bragging about winning a game that no one else is playing or even wants to play.
Yes, I am engaging in some pre-film speculation based on tidbits of info from reviewers. It's FUN TO SPECULATE. I'm not claiming that it is what is really going to be in the movie.
So, in conclusion, you are right. Your knowledge of the film is correct and ours is not. But at least I will enjoy the surprises of the movie on May 16th. You won't.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2014 10:56 PMI remember getting so much hate for believing in the script...Oh well, i dont hold a grudge.
Anyway, i think all of this is good. And the things i read in the leak script(I still have a few of the pages, but its nothing important) where pretty cool.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-06-2014 11:02 PMI have tried to avoid reading leaked scripts due to the fact that most of them are faked or first drafts that sometimes don't resemble the final film in almost any way, shape or form. Though I haven't read this one I can see from what many have pointed out after the most recent trailer that the leaked script is as close to spot on as it can be. What I would have wanted even more is to be one of those invitees for the 20 min. screening they showed. Saw a trailer review from IGN British crew and they were blown away by what they saw.
Good job not putting any spoilers out there other than to confirm what was in the script and what was on the screen in the trailer.

MemberBaragonMar-07-2014 3:46 PMummm... lets just wait a bit longer to see what really goes down that is 100% proof of everything like the godzilla awakening graphic novel i am sure it has a lot more details than anything that we really dont know of :)
