Variety reports Emmy/Golden Globe Award Winning actor Bradley Whitford will be joining the cast of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Whitford's most popular role is from the award winning series, The West Wing, which ran from 1999 to 2006. More recently, Whitford was again honored by the Emmy Awards for his role in the Amazon produced Transparent. He also appeared in the critically acclaimed and highly successful Get Out this past February.
Details about his character are being kept under wraps at the moment. Whitford joins a strong cast of A-list talent which includes Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Kyle Chandler (Super 8), Vera Farmiga (The Departed), O'Shea Jackson (Straight Outta Compton), Aisha Hinds (If I Stay), Anthony Ramos (Hamilton), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Randy Havens (Stranger Things), Sally Hawkins (Godzilla), Ken Watanabe, (Godzilla) and Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley). The film will be directed by Michael Dougherty from his screenplay co-written by Zach Shields. Alex Garcia is producing.
