Lee Shaw and Kentaro unleash captive creatures known as Needlewalkers from an Apex Cybernetics facility.

In Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 Episode 4, we learn that Apex Cybernetics are housing a number of captive creatures they've stolen from Skull Island deep within their facility. Lee Shaw and Kentaro unleash one of these creatures – officially known as Needle Walkers / Needlewalkers – a highly territorial but non-aggressive bipedal bird-like species. While they look intimidating, they're relatively harmless to Humans and no casualties are recorded after their breakout.

Another captive specimen however, poses a far greater risk – a Vine Strangler – Lee and Kentaro pass on releasing this one:
