The recent release of Godzilla: Resurgence means Kaiju fever is higher then ever. Audiences stateside eagerly await the American release of the movie. However, Universal Studios Japan has announced a Godzilla ride at their theme park which will open next year.
The Osaka-based resort announced Monday it plans to open Godzilla: The Real 4D, a multi-sensory experience based on the hit franchise, early next year. It will run for a limited time at the park beginning Jan. 13, 2017.
While an English version of the announcement was not immediately available, Universal Studios Japan’s official Facebook page indicates Godzilla: The Real 4D marks the first time the iconic character has appeared in a major theme park attraction. The post also notes the attraction will allow visitors to “confront fear and despair” as they come face-to-face with the giant monster.
This ride certainly seems very thrilling, and will leave audiences on the edge of their seats! No word has been given so far if Godzilla will be the only Kaiju featured in this ride or not. Still, this ride is a groundbreaking development, and we hope that a version of this ride comes stateside eventually!
