This past week, an insane amount of new kaiju merchandise reveals took place. These reveals took the forms of figures, statues, busts, and more!
First off was the announcement of two new Art Spirits Gekizo figures. The Burning Godzilla and Mothra figures make up the last two additions to Art Spirits' Godzilla: King of the Monsters Gekizo wave of figures. The full wave will be released in October/November for approximately $15 each.
Tanaka Studio revealed two new Godzilla busts. Both busts will be released in May from Tanaka's website, with 2019 costing approximately $111 and 1954 approximately $93.
A new Bandai Fake Godzilla figure set was announced. The set includes two figures that showcase Mechagodzilla's first two transformation stages from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. The set will be released in October for approximately $123.
A variety of new X-Plus figures were announced. The figures are all a part of the new Spring Kaiju Festival online event, so no other release information about them is known at this time.
Lastly, Magic: The Gathering continued its collaboration with Toho by revealing the new Secret Lair: The Godzilla Lands set. The set includes five Japanese-language foil full-art basic land cards, an exclusive box, and a Magic: The Gathering Arena digital card sleeve code. Pre-orders for the set will begin on May 7th at 9am PST and will only last for 24 hours. You can pre-order the set from the Magic: The Gathering - Secret Lair website for $29.99.
