Last week, via Hollywood Reporter, Terry Rossio was reported to lead a who's who of Blockbuster screenwriters for Legendary's Godzilla vs. Kong. Rossio is known for Disney's Aladdin (1992) and the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Fans know him as the writer of the original, unmade Tristar Godzilla (known to some fans as Godzilla vs. The Gyphon).
Rossio's second shot at the Godzilla franchise comes with Star Trek Beyond writers Patrick McKay & D.J. Payne, Pacific Rim: Uprising co-writer T.S. Nowlin, Alien: Covenant story writer Jack Paglen, Babylon 5 creator Michael Straczynski as well as rising scribes Lindsey Beer and Cat Vasko.
As Godzilla: King of the Monsters goes in to production this summer the Rossio and his team will be bouncing off ideas for Godzilla and Kong's inevitable clash. What do you think of the scribes chosen to bounce off ideas? Who do you think will stay on board for the final draft? Let us know in the comments below.
