Millie Bobby Brown recently returned in Stranger Things as the iconic Eleven, but in 2019 she will share the screen with the the King of the Monsters. Recently, The Blast reported an exclusive on her deal to star in the film.
The 13 year old relative newcomer agreed to a fixed $1 million paycheck. In addition, she will get backend profits and 5% of any merchandise using her character. If she appears in a sequel her paycheck gets bumped to $3 million--$4.5 million if Godzilla: King of the Monsters makes $750 million worldwide. (A number all fans hope it hits.) The deal also assures that her name will be displayed in the main titles on its own and not shared with another actor.
Nothing is known about her character as of right now, though back in June she was supposedly training for the role. We're not sure if Millie's boxing skills will help against King Ghidorah, but one can hope she will take three heads out in one punch.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters also stars Kyle Chandler (Super 8, Friday Night Lights), Vera Farmiga (The Departed), O'Shea Jackson (Straight Outta Compton), Aisha Hinds (If I Stay), Anthony Ramos (Hamilton), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Randy Havens (Stranger Things), Ken Watanabe, (Godzilla), Sally Hawkins (Godzilla), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Bradley Whitford (Get Out, West Wing) and Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). The film will be directed by Michael Dougherty from his screenplay co-written by Zach Shields. Alex Garcia is producing. The film bows March 22nd, 2019.
