This week during Tokyo Comic Con 2019, X-Plus operated a booth that granted us new looks at a variety of Godzilla figures. Included at the con were several brand new reveals and even a couple of event exclusives.
The DefoReal Godzilla 1999 and Orga standard/RIC version figures were shown off at the convention. The RIC version of Orga features an open jaw to recreate one of the closing scenes from Godzilla 2000. The RIC version of Godzilla 1999 will include a swappable jaw with ship effect piece. Both the RIC and standard versions of the figures are scheduled to release in April.
Also exhibited was the DefoReal Mothra 2019 figure, including our first glimpse at the RIC version. The standard version features red/orange paint apps, while the RIC version has a blue/green color scheme. No release date is currently known for either version.
Tokyo Comic Con also offered us our first look at the DefoReal Shin Godzilla 4th Form Clear Version figure and at a 2nd DefoReal Godzilla 2019 figure. No specific information is known for either release, but Shin Godzilla may be imitating when he was being frozen and Godzilla 2019 could be a Burning version of the figure.
A new Shin Godzilla 4th Form Freezing Version figure was also shown off. While technically not an X-Plus due to it being a Bandai Premium exclusive, the new Large Monster Series figure still features an X-Plus sculpt. The figure is scheduled for a March release date.
Last but not least are four new Tokyo Comic Con exclusive releases. These figures are only available to attendees of the convention and via a limited web lottery. The figures include three different versions (red, black, and purple) of the new DefoReal Mini Shin Godzilla 4th From figure. Each individual figure stands at approximately 3.75" tall. Also available was the DefoReal Hedorah Green Version figure.
Special thanks to Shounen Ric for the images and information regarding the new figures.
