Shin Godzilla opens in North America in nearly two weeks and Funimation is plugging social media with more trailers for the film. The first is a tense, new 30 second internet "spot" and the second is a 15 second variation of the same.
Funimation is teasing Godzilla's image a lot in these trailers, a la, Godzilla '14. I suppose they felt it worked for Edwards' film, but it's a curious decision given the backlash Legendary/Warner Brothers got for, "selling a different movie" in 2014.
There isn't a lot here that we haven't already seen before (though the close up of Godzilla's spines is pretty nice), but most seem to agree Funimation's trailers are stronger than Toho's. Take a look below:
