Godzilla vs. Kong: New Image of Godzilla 2020 Revealed!

I am taking this with a massive chunk of salt. This looks nothing like what we saw in the leaked footage, and there it looked like Goji had kept his 2019 spines.

I'm hoping it's just art for the toy-fair and not actually representative of the film. Because if they really did ditch the 2019 spines, then that's honestly quite disappointing. 

Another possibility occurs to me; could this just be pre-production concept art?

Pretty positive this is just concept art, something pretty they could use as a backdrop without spoiling any of the promotional art for the advertising campaign.

That said, I really want to see the rest of this piece now. See where Godzilla's aiming? I think Kong might be hanging off a skyscraper in this art, which would be epic.

Most likely early concept art. Godzilla's dorsal plates will probably look more in line with his 2019 plates.

Godzilla's design aside, if the battle in Hong Kong looks like this, I will be very, very happy.

Plates don't match the ones from the teaser of him and Kong on a battleship... Looks more like a video game still than anything from a movie...
