While much of the world has seen Godzilla vs. Kong, the King of the Monsters' birthplace will have to wait until May 14th of this year. Luckily, Toho is pushing at full speed with the marketing.

The new trailer gives audiences a taste of the Japanese dub and debut's the film's theme song, "Into the Deep" by Man with a Mission. The song is exclusive to the Japanese release of the film:

"Since I was a kid, I have dreamed of Godzilla and Kong clashing on the big screen," said director Adam Wingard. "It's as if Man With A Mission mind-melded with those dreams and wrote the perfect song to go along with our movie. I'm thrilled to have such an electric song from a groundbreaking band like Man with a Mission play with Godzilla vs. Kong."

Producer Alex Garcia added, "Man with a Mission has written a song that captures the grandeur and the scale of two of film's biggest icons colliding in Godzilla vs. Kong. We are deeply honored to have such a respected group compose a tribute fit for these larger-than-life characters."

In 2019, the Japanese version of Godzilla: King of the Monsters included the song "Pray" by Alexandros.

Godzilla vs. Kong opens in Japanese theaters May 14th. Man on a Mission's new single for the film, "Into the Deep," will be available June 9th.

I think the music just doesn't match. A classical theme with an orchestra should simply be here.

Yeah, that is the Japanese for ya. Instead of an epic metal/rap song or a classical theme they use a upbeat pop song that completely kills the mood.

music or no music, well, due to the many spoilers, the enjoyment of GVK is ruined for me anyway and I think I'm not the only one.

SarcasticGoji,
The anime scores as a whole were actually fantastic. Hattori probably delivered the best work of his career in the Godzilla series.

I mean the Pop songs, I like the other themes but no.

J-Pop is just a part of the anime culture at this point, I don't mind them too much. They were only in the end credits and added a since of continuity between them. But Hattori's material really delivered.

@SarcasticGoji

@sonictiger

saw your message only now (CET 12:00 h now). I don't blame you for the spoilers. This goes more in the direction of Legendary & Warner.

if you try to introduce a film internationally, then you should also try to include europe.

i've mentioned it before elsewhere here, the pandemic is of course a problem here in germany. we have partial curfews here at night. that means people here sit at home and pick their noses because of boredom.

if you had taken care of it in time (I'm thinking of the streaming services) instead of arguing about it like 7 year old children, who is going to get the nod. i see this chance as being wasted with every day that passes.

what can i say, i'm just a small candle on the planet. i'm just annoyed.

Is HBO max available in Germany? Because if so, even if it’s not on in Germany, you could use a vpn, which you could just change location to a country that does have it.

HBO max is planned for 2025 as far as I know. VPN is also a way, but I think you'll understand, I prefer movies in my native language.

this is not to say that i don't speak or understand english. certain things just sometimes don't always translate correctly because they lose meaning in the language.
