We're throwing it back this Thursday with a look at some early King Ghidorah concept art which was created by concept artist Ken Barthelmey for Michael Dougherty's Godzilla: King of the Monsters!
Although the following design was not ultimately used for Ghidorah, it is fascinating to consider the possibility of an alternative design such as this for Godzilla's rival. The look was less Dragon-like and more Fish-like by comparison. Considering Ghidorah was from outer space, this unused concept actually gives the Hydra a more of an alien appearance than the one witnessed in the movie. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments!
