That's right, the Hotel Gracery in Shinjuku will be opening up a new Hotel this April, Godzilla-style! Positioned atop Shinjuku's Toho Cinema, standing 30 stories high, this new Hotel will come with a few Godzilla-themed rooms, offering different views and designs, emulating the King of Kaiju's 60+ years of existence!
A massive Godzilla head sculpture is being built on the Toho Cinemas roof, and will overlook the Shinjuku streets below. Cinema Cafe has a couple renders of what the finished product will look like, which you can see below:
As you can see, an observation deck will also be constructed, allowing visitors to get up close to the sculpted Godzilla head.
The rooms themselves will feature a plethora of Godzilla memrobelia. The first room, simply called the "Godzilla Room" will feature a sculpt of the full-body Godzilla as well as a massive claw, reaching over the bed and a ton of posters and film-themed decorations. Next up will be two more Godzilla-themed rooms called the "Godzilla View Rooms", and as the name suggests, offers views of Godzilla out each window - overlooking the massive Godzilla head scuplture mentioned above. Check out renders of those room variants below:
According to Kotaku, "The Godzilla Room is 39,800 yen (US$ 334) during weekdays and 49,800 yen ($417) during weekends and holidays. There are two Godzilla View Rooms available, with each a single starting at 15,000 yen ($125) a night."
