Resident 3D artist Dopepope has been creating some truly remarkable Godzilla artwork for a while now, and has an impressive portfolio set up on Godzilla-Movies.com. A lot of his work focusses on re-creating classic Godzilla Kaiju, including Godzilla himself. But occasionally he creates some new designs and concepts set in the Godzilla universe. Below are a few renders he's created, which emulate the MUTO's design from Godzilla 2014, but while paired with the classic emobidment of some of Godzilla's most famous enemies. Check out the MUTO variations for Rodan and Gigan below!
We think these concepts are truly incredible and could absolutely pass for concepts for future Legendary-Goji foes. However Godzilla 2 won't be including Gigan in its roster, Rodan is definitely going to be making an appearance.
Should Legendary consider using their MUTO style when re-inventing classic Kaiju for Godzilla's sequels? Or should they stick to modernized versions of the classics like they did with Godzilla himself? Leave your opinions in the comments section below!
We can't wrap this post up without also sharing Dopepope's 2014 Godzilla render, so enjoy:
