What if Godzilla vs. Kong was an R-rated horror flick? We probably would have seen a turnout similar to the image depicted below by an epic new Godzilla vs. Kong statue spotted by Godzilla Art Center on Facebook. As you can see, this new bust shows Godzilla having decapitated the Guardian of Hollow Earth and Skull Island, having crushed his body into the concrete landscape they clashed ontop of. Not even Kong's battle axe could survive the battle by this perspective. A gruesome and sad ending for Kong, who was arguably the fan favorite of the movie, this alternate ending probably would not have fared as well with audiences.
Although this isn't how the battle played out in the film, it does offer us an idea of what a more mature geared Godzilla vs. Kong might have looked like. Would you have opted for an R-rated Godzilla vs. Kong? Or are you pleased with the direction the Monsterverse took instead?
