It looks like Godzilla vs. Kong will have a new rival at the box office next year.
It has been revealed that Marvel's Black Widow has had it's release date shifted. The upcoming film has been moved from November 6th, 2020 to May 7th, 2021. The new date means that Black Widow will now debut just two weeks before Godzilla vs. Kong is set to release on May 21st, 2021.
With a full two week gap between the films, it's certainly possible that Warner Bros. will hold firm and leave Godzilla vs. Kong on its current release date. However, between Black Widow's move, other Warner Bros.' schedule changes, and the ongoing uncertainty within the film industry... it's always possible that Godzilla vs. Kong could be postponed once again.
