The next Monsterverse movie has been given an official March 2024 release date and while many outlets refer to the upcoming project as the next “Kong sequel” (and the film potentially being called “Son of Kong”) it appears that the King of Monsters himself, Godzilla, will in fact be returning in the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel!
The official Godzilla website announced that Godzilla will return in the 5th Monsterverse movie! Prior to this news it was speculated that Godzilla would potentially be absent from the next Monsterverse movie, given the expired deal with Toho - the rights holders to Godzilla. However it would appear that deal has been renewed! To what extent Godzilla will be involved remains to be known.

From Toho, Takashi Yamazaki is directing a sequel to Godzilla Minus One and is currently in development! The next film will act as a direct follow-up and will even include more Monsters!
