Toho is gearing up for Godzilla Festival 2022 this Fall and today the Gemstone/Toho production for the CG short, Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex, was unveiled. The short is an officially backed sequel to the 2019 fan film, G vs. G, directed by Takuya Uenishi. The original project was submitted by Uenishi to Gemstone as the winning project of their Godzilla contest.
Built in honor of Gigan's 50th anniversary, Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex will debut at Godzilla Festival 2022, November 3rd. Check out the trailer below:
