Mike Dougherty's Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters has been given an extended theater run in China! A new report by Xinhua claims Legendary and Warner Brothers' Godzilla sequel will be available for viewing in China until July 30th! This should dramatically add to Godzilla 2's box office earning potential - which is only good news for those of us hoping the Monstervers continues after Godzilla vs. Kong next year.
Since its debut on May 31st, King of the Monsters has already grossed over $128 million U.S. dollars alone in China. These numbers will only continue to go up!
Domestically, Godzilla 2 just crossed the $100 million mark as well!
