After both the dates, about 60 theater locations and the official North American poster was leaked this past week, Funimation's full press release confirms Shin Godzilla will run from October 11th-18th!
Additionally, for fans concerned that the mere 60+ locations revealed recently were too far out of the way, Funimation confirms over 440 theaters will show the film in both the U.S. and Canada.
A slight variation of the previously released poster has also been unveiled, via SciFi Japan. Using the "Godzilla Resurgence" font for Asian territories, the new poster touts critical praise and crew credits. (But still omits the eyes.)
“Movie audiences can look forward to a great time watching Shin Godzilla this October,” announced EVP of Funimation, Mike DuBoise. “A larger than life monster like Godzilla has to be experienced on the big screen. And we expect this movie to sellout in numerous theaters so we encourage fans to purchase tickets in advance.”
Funimation has confirmed the film will be in its original Japanese language and subtitled in English. Tickets for all locations go on sale September 9th. Meanwhile, Funimation will premiere the film October 3rd in Los Angeles as well as New York on October 5th. You can read their full press release here.
In the meantime, keep an eye out for news, new locations and pre-sale tickets on Funimation's Official Shin Godzilla Website, September 9th.
