As with every new Godzilla movie, the King of Monsters always goes through a bit of a design refresh. Throughout the Monsterverse film series, we've seen Godzilla go through a number of changes already and the next movie - Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be no different.
Promotional marketing for the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel has revealed concept artwork depicting the new Godzilla 2024 design! Fans will notice some significant changes to Godzilla's face and neck, looking a bit more reptilian than bear-like. Check it out:
Now, this being concept artwork the fully rendered CGI Godzilla will likely differ from this slightly, but the overall aesthetic of Godzilla's most recent upgrade suggests a more reptilian / primal look for the King of Monsters. Godzilla is also expected to take somewhat of a backseat role in the next film, with Kong being the primary protagonist.
