Most of us who have seen Godzilla vs. Kong already know the feeling we experienced when watching the film regarding Kong and it appears director Adam Wingard felt the same!
During a recent interview with Variety, Wingard was asked whether he sided with Godzilla more over Kong while making the movie and although Wingard admits to being more of a Godzilla fan over a Kong fan, he did acknowledge that he felt more for Kong. He felt for him so much in fact that he actually removed a number of scenes from the film's early scripts because the acts against Kong seemed to much:
Kong did have a more prominent human connection in this film, from his development to his interactions with the film's human characters, so it's natural for most of us to have developed a sense of sympathy towards him. Whether you're more of a Godzilla fan or Kong fan, we can all agree, we felt bad for Kong when he was losing and we felt overjoyed when he managed to get a win or two.
Did you feel bad for Kong at any point during the film? Did this movie make you more of a Kong fan than Godzilla fan? Let us know below!
