THANKS FOR THAT BCROCKETT94 I know most of us men and women remember being little watching GODZILLA rooting for him, admiring the fact no military (or establishment) could take him down, cheering watching him put the moves to his enemies and i want all those feelings when i watch this new movie too BUT being older now ive come to understand the first film was a statement about the atomic bomb i want gareth to make that same statement with this film for this our time (2014) IF THOSE DETAILS ARE PRESENT AND SUDDENLY OUR BRAINS MAKE THE CONNECTION (JEEEEEESUS WHAT IF?......WHAT IF HE REALLY WAS HERE? IN ESSENCE WHEN WE WATCH HIM CRUMBLE BUILDINGS CRUSH PPL TO NOTHING LEVEL ALL THAT WEVE COME TO BUILD AS THE "GODS" OF THIS PLANET....WELL BE WATCHING WHAT OUR LITTLE BOMBS CAN DO TO US ALL.

II certainly do like the quote from the trailer. Although, perhaps it's just me - it made me think it was describing the "Multi-Armed" Monster Godzilla defeats. My impression was that this evil is born unto the world, and Godzilla (as usually) is born to defeat the evil and save the Earth. Might be corny, but might also be somewhat true. Godzilla could be the "hero" but also the means of punishment on a corrupt Human race which is damaging the Earth. But as for the tagline - I like the one you posted, for sure!

I really like it but the only problem is that it cuts out a little and sounds like 2 roars....still cant wait!!!!!

We have to remember, that the roar we heard in the teaser trailer was not from the film. I think they'll deepen it a bit for the film, but as it stands I don't mind it at all! In previous films, Godzilla had many different kinds of roars, so I expect we'll hear a wide variety of epic roars when the movie hits theaters.

I personally love the sort of bass line at the end of the roar (reminds me of like something metallic and heavy being compressed into ocean depths, hard to explain, kinda hear similar sound effects in other stuff)

The first time I watched the trailer, I was on my phone, with my battery dying. The first time the roar sounded off, I jumped. I'll be honest, it was a jump scare moment for me. Then at the end, when it shows Godzilla letting out a roar, well, to be honest, it sent chills down my spine. I really loved the roar. I still occasionally look at the trailer, and it still has that effect. I really loved everything about it actually. Any sort of worry I had about the movie, such as being too uplifting or happy, or too much of a different Godzilla design, was just destroyed. I'm even more excited to see the movie than when I was still just waiting for the trailer.

The roar is ok. Though I prefer the 1954 roar. I can see that tweaked slightly to give it more bass. The roar, The design, EVERYTHING about this Godzilla is amazing. I love that legendary is the company that got the writes because it has their trademark "dark gritty" theme and I fucking love it. This is the Godzilla movie I've always wanted to be made, I've always wanted to see.

Of course Godzilla will beat him. But I'm concerned on how big you think the "multi-armed form" will be. I think they will make it no smaller than King Ghidorah in GMK. Because as most know in GMK King Ghidorah what barely taller than godzilla.

I like to think that although this is the "iconic" roar of this new Godzilla,I feel as though they're holding back the "destructive" roar that shows off Godzilla's victory and showcases his sheer power to his foes both present and future.

Yes, I think he should. He has to be this unstoppable, massive, destructive force of nature as he is being described in the synopsis and that we can do nothing about it. He is the destroyer of worlds!

I think the [i]Multi armed monster[/i] is maybe just "test footage" from 2012. So, that being said, I think they edited it to be more like the mantis like creatures in the 2013 trailer. Again, with that being said, I'm inclined to believe that the large creature is the "queen" of the mantis creature (provided that I'm correct in saying that the multi armed creature was edited to the mantis creature). Which will probably be a sort of easy feat for Godzilla, but I'm wondering what the main foe will be. I think the trailer monster is the queen (again, only if I'm correct in assuming that the giant creature was edited to be more like the mantis creature) so that they can justify the smaller ones for the humans to interact more personally with, perhaps several "you ate my friends, you sonnuva b*tch" sort of scenes. (I'm not sure what degree of language is accepted, I'll have to check again). I think the main kaiju foe will only be revealed during the movie, OR a half second sort of thing, like lightning flashes, and a foot, that does not belong to Godzilla or the mantis creature(s), demolishes a building. But to answer the question more directly... No, I don't think Godzilla should just easily slaughter his opponents. It'd honestly ruin the horror feel of the movie for me, and many of the people I discuss Godzilla with. Like, oh, this monster kills other monsters easily. We're screwed. Compared to several monsters fighting, in a crowded city, infested with those smaller mantis creatures eating people.. I'd say the latter works better in the horror aspect that seems to be what they're achieving. If this movie were supposed to be a classic monster brawl movie, then yes, the former works better.

All of you have really amazing scene ideas. I agree with all of it. I think it would be interesting to see some sort of electricity trap, I'd love a tooth and claw battle, the "radioactive" thing is something I entertained too as this movie will more than likely need a bit of mood lightening before all of hell is let loose on the land, and it'd be amazing if they decided to hint at a TOHO monster making its way into the US film (Given that TOHO says it's okay, or that we get the license for it). Yeah, I agree with GODZILLAMYCUZZIN, it'd be hard for them to make the movie horrifying without all of those details. Especially the atomic breath, I know it's not going to be as spectacular, I believe the word Edwards used, so I'm interested in finding out what it is he means by that.

I agree with DURP004, the fight in Godzilla raids again is one of my favorites, and I think that is how they should make them fight. (of course with CGI it will look much cooler) Another thing is like ^^, I want to see it from the humans point of view as much as possible to really capture the fear and horror of a giant monster destroying everything in sight. And lastly, I want to see Godzilla save his atomic breath for later in the movie after his initial attack, just like in the 1954 movie. Just as you think it can't get any worse, Godzilla sets the city on fire with his BLUE atomic breath!!

You can tell the multi armed beast's size by the street poles in between his legs. He is definitely much bigger than a house, but not as big as GODZILLA. I agree with you guys, Godzilla should kick the other monsters' butts, and then have a nice, long, and epic battle at the end with the main monster. (Of course it should leave room to make stronger monsters later)

If there is only one enemy, then no, it should be a good, long lasting fight with Godzilla coming out on top. If there are two or more, he should kick ass the whole movie and have a long battle with the last one. That's just my thought, as you can probably tell, I'm not a Godzilla regular.

What i want to see is not in just one particular scene but ALL the scenes that OUR KING is in. GARETH really peeked my interest when he said the film and its content would be rooted more in reality. That statement got me thinking......what would happen to even the smallest details of the environment were in if he was really stomping around here in our little world. SOMETHING 500 FT TALL MOVING? There are supposedly at least 2 enemies in this movie for godzilla to fight so the first 1(whether that be the multi-legged or mantis creature from either trailer) should be fairly easy but the second, hopefully bigger and stronger monster, should be a bit more of a challenge. Nothing too strong as the bar will be raised if and when they do a sequel.

If anything fans description of it post comic-con 2012 up until this leak have came off as "mediocre", the trailer itself surpassed all expectations and it didn't need a discarded musical score from some old Kubrick flick to show that. Anyways, can't say anything more about the awesomeness of this trailer that hasn't already been said other then I disagree with the feeling that this trailer has anything resembling the 98 film. In fact this trailer for me has already begun the memory erazing process that Bryan Crannston talked about.

well if you want gigan back that would be awesome, I think the story should go. The new threat of godzilla catches the eye of an alien race that has conquering worlds, so they unleash there giant cyborg monster upon earth to end Godzilla only to have there plan fail at the end. Or ! the aliens could just be trying to conquer the world using gigan and godzilla comes to eradicate the threat .... not to save the humans, but to just kill the aliens

This might sound extremely corny, but I kinda really want a scene where godzilla has just entered a city so everyone is still really not to aware of the danger. I want a guy blasting the song from imagine dragons in his car "radioactive". As the song is playing godzilla walks buy, and stops right in front of the car, when it hits the chorus godzilla lets out a defining roar and blast the street and incinirates the car

I multi armed creature does have baragon like appendages, it looks odd. and what's up with all these foe's being much smaller than godzilla, is he just gonna blast through all of these guys easily. Btw the smoldering on the multi legged creature is probably from godzilla's atomic breath. Which brings me to another point, Godzilla himself. I think his roar is much to high pitched, and should be deeper and shouldn't end with random whale calls ..... I don't know. He himself though looks really bad ass, I love how damn menacing he looks
