For those who still haven't seen the trailer yet, here's a link to a quick 7 second Youtube video showcasing Godzilla's roar in the new film. Godzilla 2014 Roar (authentic) This is the official Godzilla roar for the 2014 movie. And for those of you saying this isn't the official roar, you're kidding yourselves probably cuz you don't like it. But this is the same roar that was in the Godzilla Encounter. I know, I was there and went 4 times. I memorized that friggin roar. It's the same roar from the concept trailer. The concept trailer, the SDCC Encounter, and the new trailer all have the same roar. They may tweak it a tiny bit to make it sound more realistic and loud, but in summary this IS the 2014 Godzilla roar. Deal with it. That being said, what do you guys think of it? I am in love with it. It's the classic-ness of Godzilla, with a new nowaday spin. It's a legit roar I can, in all honesty, hear from a gigantic ferocious animal in real life. It's scary and fearsome, it's angry and instinctive, it's nature and wrath. It's the definition of Godzilla or anything of a creature his size. Hearing this roar in reality will destroy all your expectations of a future and have you shaking in fear and utter helplessness. This roar might as well be Death's ringtone. Sorry, I get poetic when I see/hear something I like. What's your take on the new roar? Express! *Link made clickable by Svanya

I totally agree with you instinctivegigan. And I too love the roar, I like how they are trying to make this movie dark, sad, scary, and AWSOME!

I like to think that although this is the "iconic" roar of this new Godzilla,I feel as though they're holding back the "destructive" roar that shows off Godzilla's victory and showcases his sheer power to his foes both present and future.

The roar, The design, EVERYTHING about this Godzilla is amazing. I love that legendary is the company that got the writes because it has their trademark "dark gritty" theme and I fucking love it. This is the Godzilla movie I've always wanted to be made, I've always wanted to see.

The roar is ok. Though I prefer the 1954 roar. I can see that tweaked slightly to give it more bass. This roar in particular. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEes2RlAhCA The first roar in this one fits what would fit the roar from the trailer. The eighth roar also fit from this one too. The one heard at 0:27. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cX6dwnt_7QI GROWLLLLLLRRRRRNNNNKKKKKK!!!!

The first time I watched the trailer, I was on my phone, with my battery dying. The first time the roar sounded off, I jumped. I'll be honest, it was a jump scare moment for me. Then at the end, when it shows Godzilla letting out a roar, well, to be honest, it sent chills down my spine. I really loved the roar. I still occasionally look at the trailer, and it still has that effect. I really loved everything about it actually. Any sort of worry I had about the movie, such as being too uplifting or happy, or too much of a different Godzilla design, was just destroyed. I'm even more excited to see the movie than when I was still just waiting for the trailer.

I personally love the sort of bass line at the end of the roar (reminds me of like something metallic and heavy being compressed into ocean depths, hard to explain, kinda hear similar sound effects in other stuff)

We have to remember, that the roar we heard in the teaser trailer was not from the film. I think they'll deepen it a bit for the film, but as it stands I don't mind it at all! In previous films, Godzilla had many different kinds of roars, so I expect we'll hear a wide variety of epic roars when the movie hits theaters.

I really like it but the only problem is that it cuts out a little and sounds like 2 roars....still cant wait!!!!!

at first i thought he was letting out a cry of pain if the other monster was biting him or something but i was wrong and after hearing it a bit more i like it still wish it was like the classic 1954 roar but this is the new era and the new style of technology and the new beast that is in the heart of this godzilla and i like it alot i can not wait for may 16th i will see you all there
