AdminSpaceGodzillaOct-07-2013 6:07 PMII certainly do like the quote from the trailer. Although, perhaps it's just me - it made me think it was describing the "Multi-Armed" Monster Godzilla defeats. My impression was that this evil is born unto the world, and Godzilla (as usually) is born to defeat the evil and save the Earth. Might be corny, but might also be somewhat true. Godzilla could be the "hero" but also the means of punishment on a corrupt Human race which is damaging the Earth.
But as for the tagline - I like the one you posted, for sure!

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-07-2013 6:14 PMThe Oppenheimer quote tagline defo awesome, but have a feeling Warner's and Legendary will probably go cliche
i.e. 'The King has Arrived' or 'Behold, the King of Monsters'
impossible to be worse than Pacific Rim's 'Go Big or Go Extinct' haha

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-07-2013 8:53 PMGodzilla has worked best as an anti-hero/borderline villain in the past. I think the tagline should have to deal with relying on a creature that could destroy us in order to save the world. Gareth also said there would be an emphasis on nature. I think it will be something along the lines of "Mother Nature Meets Destroyer of Worlds," or "In this Kin's court, all are guilty."

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-08-2013 7:17 AMHow about:
We thought we ruled the world
Something has awoken from it’s slumber
There is no God
Mankind’s worst nightmare just became reality
Actually, this is much harder than I thought it would be. But great topic!
You don\\\'t see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage!

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-08-2013 8:14 AMThat's awesome... I also like when the viral marketing site was going on and the fisherman said " The iceberg...It saw us"

"The seeds of destruction have been sewn." OR
"Hell hath no greater fury." OR
"Apocalypse incarnate."

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-08-2013 11:46 PM@Taylour_Monster I also think Godzilla will be both a protagonist and antagonist, but I actually picture it the other way around from what you're describing. I think it would be more compelling if Godzilla starts as the threat and then ends up protecting Earth from the other monsters.
As far as my idea for a tagline, how about something like...
"Nature Will Reign"
