Just out of my pure curiosity, in one of your previous posts, you said you spoke to some sources about the leaked images and the upcoming trailer! I'm not saying I don't believe you did, but who were your sources? And are you certain they can be trusted? And one more thing...

I don't remember as to whether or not I have already mentioned this in another post...but on this site COSMIC BOOK NEWS.com, an article addresses the leaked promotional images you covered a day or two ago...but the author does something intersting...he turns to discussing the trailer. He says, 

"Regarding the next trailer for Godzilla, it's been rumored to be getting released on Friday, February 7th, which is the start of the Winter Olympics and the release date for The LEGO Movie from Warner Bros."

"I contacted a rep for Legendary/WB who stated they didn't have a confirmation release date for the new Godzilla trailer, but would most likely be sending out info when it is going to become available like last time."

Just thought that was interesting.

It's astonishing how many fake scripts get written up for movies these days... I suspect this is 100% fake, but before I make that judgement I've reached out to the necessary individual(s) to confirm or deny whether this "leak" is legit or not. I should have an answer soon.

That is all fine and good, but until I know for a fact that he is a mutation, I'm going to go with the ancient creature assumption. He was only an ancient creature in the original film that was awakened by the bomb (and scarred) but not mutated.

i always thought that he was awakened and mutated. i think what they mean by "natures answer" is basically that we messed nuclear technology without thinking of what could happen if we used said technology and it backfires and creates something that in a way is natures wrath

My favorite is either Orga or Biollante because they both look so cool that way.

I personally think they all look silly. 

Is there any confirmation that NECA is going to make any classic Godzilla figures at all? I'm going to assume they aren't unless someone knows for sure if they are.

I highly doubt they are, I think anything they make will be solely based on this film.

Everything Edwards has said sounds like Godzilla is nature's 'answer', meaning that he's probably existed long before our medling. 

If you go by the possibly fake leaked script, hes not mutated, only 'changed' by the bomb. 

If you go by the earliest film descriptions on the internet-- they describe him as an ancient monster that awakens.

Not hinting at all that he is a mutation.

I could be wrong-- but thus far, I haven't seen one hint that he was a mutation. If I am incorrect, I'll be the first to admit it, but so far... nothing suggests this besides wild fan speculation and I'm going to trust Edwards' own words more than fan theories.

I've read quite a few scripts and honestly the termonology and methodology in the writing is pretty spot on-- believe it or not. It could be fake, but at the same time, the writing style is pretty popular in script-developement. Don't let that sway your opinion. 

I bet this faked, but this would still be a cool scene to in the movie.

Kyero, I would not worry about fake YouTube acounts or websites pretending to have the Godzilla movie out, they really can't profit or anything from posting fake links. Just flag them as you see them and that's the best you can do. Most fans are smart enough to know when it's a fake movie link.

Trying to get every one of them removed, while noble in it's intent, is a very huge and almost impossible task. Rest assured, 99% of people will just click the YouTube channel and see its a fake movie and leave.

You are very kind to be concerned about people getting scammed though. :)

alright. back to subject 1954 godzilla would be the best figure to start/release, definatly during the relase of g2014 due to the 60th anniversary stuff. also the case/box shoudl have the 60th anniversary logo.

it may be me just looking at the picture to long XD but if it it another monster this could be a snap shot of a new console game or a trailer, because the graphics of this is to good to be a mobile game and not that advanced to be a trailer, but i do remember reading an article on this site stating that thies pictures are early drafts of godzilla himself

Oh, he's a mutant alright. He just didn't start off quite well with those first few mutations due to radiation that naturally occurred. He may have even "died" a few times before those nuclear anomalies got it right. Whatever features from his previous existance worked better were readapted to fit in a larger and much stronger framework that could accomodate such enormous sizes that nature can't produce through mere normal evolution (as far as we know anyway).

Once such feature is something likely similar to the bony scutes across a crocodilian's skin, which several archosaurs and dinosaurs also had in some form. Others are a product of the reworking of the genetic code to use pure nuclear energy as a source of sustenance, weaponry, and the likes. Fukushima was a terribly bad nuclear disaster, rivalling the bombing of Hiroshima in an environmental sense, and also likely garnered a similar "dinner time" response from Godzilla back in 1954, similar to how many animals can tell when the season of bountiful resources to feast approaches.

And that is how Godzilla, his nuclear-created body, Fukushima, and the movie could possibly all factor in.

I wouldn't think this is real. Thing seem to escalate a little quickly, don't you think? and the use of onomonopias? "Bam!' it seems so unprofessional. And counting you found it on reddit, I wouldnt trust it. But its a fun little fan made thing to read. I think it sounds kinda cool.

so more american companies are showing interest in godzilla, could that mean that more godzilla franchise figures could arrive in europe as well.

AKAGI remember 1954 gojira, godzilla had A LOT of human drama godzilla had quite a short screen time compared to the rest of the series but he was still the star of the show, i'm sure this movie will have a lot of human drama but im sure thwy will focus most of the plot on godzilla, and when he does have his screen time it will make the audience know that HE is the star more than aaron taylor johnson or brian cranston.

I don't think he'll be mutated at all. I think he'll be an ancient creature. 

maybe those picture leaks went out to restore positivity in fans. even if it were fake, the person behind it only wanted the g community to hype again. Because sometimes the truth isnt good enough, sometimes fans deserve to have their faith rewarded. So they'll condemn the creator of those images, they'll hate him. I'm more worried about the movie having very little Godzilla and too much 'drama' and doing extremely well, fueling sequels with less and less Godzilla and more 'human driven drama'.

But I think if everyone keeps cautious optimism, it shouldn't be too bad.

I'm sorry though, if it bothers anyone that I want Godzilla to be the star of a film with his name as the title. 

i heard they are showing the 1954 godzilla in the toy fair, so yeah they are doing godzilla 1954.
