found out that a rep from neca has stated that the embargo ends mid march source http://movies.cosmicbooknews.com/content/godzilla-2014-products-lock-down-toy-fair-under-studio-embargo quote- "A rep for NECA got back to me and stated they are not showing any of the Godzilla items in the public viewing area as the images and products are under embargo until Mid-March".
I've found myself coming up with something similar, but on a smaller scale with natural radiation pools formed on occasion, sort of like those acid pools you see around the world, but with radioactive materials instead, which will prevent decomposition of anything that happens to be in there, but still kills it, thus no pesky bacteria or melting of the flesh. Cells remain rpeserved for "natural experimentation". Such a process would take longer, but in the end, we'd still have our "Frankenstein's monster" made and patented by mother nature.
well they do say that a trailer was NEVER going to be released at the 12th or 14th, that date was when the trailer would be finsished editing. but i'll still take this with a grain of salt, don't want to get my hopes up
If you didn't make a post everytime there was a rumor a trailer was coming I might take this more seriously.
I think not, guys :)
Favorite: 1995 Least Favorite: 1967 and 1984
Wait are we really comparing what the human characters do? Ok well let me show all the things human characters do in the heisei.
1985- too much to talk about, so won't even list them
vs Biollante- piloted super x II against godzilla. Miki put herself almost into a coma to divert godzilla, the soldiers attacking godzilla with ANEB, constantly battling for the secrets of the G-cells and keeping godzilla locked away in the volcano, just to name a few
Vs Ghidorah. Again an insane amount. Went back in time, sabotaged Ghidorah's controls while he was fighting Godzilla. Teleported the time machine to godzilla so they couldn't get away. True they all sat at a control room at the end but that was because they couldn't do anything else to stop him, so they were leaving it to emi.
Vs Mothra- Not much really they weren't necessarily bland, but they didn't do much in regards to Godzilla
I'm going to stop right there because listing it off every movie is a pain, but the fact the millenium's characters seemed to do more in the end was because their characters were largely military so they had something to do that involved the fight. The only military characters in the heisei were the mecha pilots and they did as much as any1 in the millenium did in regards to the end.
The ending of the 2nd trailer, according by the witness accounts, sounds super scary! I can't wait!
I think it's true, guys. :)
Can't say I'm excited; there's been so many lies and trolls these past couple of months.. I'm pretty dissapointed in the Godzilla 2014 marketing. Unless it kicks off really big, real soon, it will be futile. I don't know, maybe this second trailer will spark it, but if not, the advertising has been practically non existant, in comparison to other films this year. I don't want to be hyped up for another false claim about this film...
I am so excited but at the same time I don't believe it. I gotta take this as a grain of salt.
OMG I am so excited. I can't wait for it to come out. February 27th? I can't wait another 8 days!!!!
Sorry, not buying this. I just can't trust anybody or relly on anybody to give me clear and legit information. Now you are right about one thing there mr.gigan...we will be getting a trailer very soon. But unless it is confirmed by legendary or warners bros...... don't get your hopes up just yet fellow G fans. Now I will be honest, I hope i'm wrong, at this point I hope what I have just said is wrong but at this point I have always been right. None of our trailer predictions have ever been correct nor legit. All we can do is sit and wait.
Really mr.gigan...REALLY? Is that the best source you got? Give me a better source to back up your theory.
This is great...I hope all this does indeed end up in the trailer especially shots of dead creatures, that could give us a very good idea of the monsters size and abalities etc. And of course the supposed clear shot of godzilla, that's gonna be the most replayed moment in a trailer ever knowing all us g-fans.....thanks for the update
yes, i know some of those words
Unfortunately, you missed out the fact that gamma rays emit so much energy into cells, that they die. The corpse of the prehistoric beast would have been totally peeled and stripped of flesh, considering the cells would die and fall of the bones - Not to mention extremophile organisms which would convert it's biomass into simpler things *rot, decay, decompose, if you will*, whilst surviving the radiation from the meteorite *it's an extremophile, that's what they do*. Furthermore, desperate animals looking for food such as scavengers would soon find the corpse and devour its remains... I really don't find your theory plausable, but I'm glad that you're generating ideas for the community. Thanks.
I will say it will be like a energy beam like what Npinkham19 said. I also don't think you can make a energy beam realistic because it's already unrealistic.
"...I'm not sure if he even received payment..."
Huh. Good question. I'd like to find that out actually. I know Ifukube protested heavily against his music being used for the movie, but Toho went ahead with it anyway of course... That information may have been lost in time, but I'd like to find out if he was compensated-- considering his popularity.
That said I love all the music in vs. Gigan. The only times I felt it was out of place was when Rodan's theme would show up.
While on the topic of music I watched Godzilla vs. Gigan today and have to say it's probably my favorite Godzilla score. It was all done by Akira Ifukube but he wasn't hired for the film. They lifted his score from here and there, themes that weren't even made for Godzilla and I'm not sure if he even received payment but the music was so awesome for what is largely a sub par movie.
I'm actually not thinking it will be like fire at all and certainly not like the energy beam it's been for the past few decades. I think they're really analyzing what his breath actually is: an expulsion of radioactive energy. I think they're visualizing if you could color radioactivity blue and violently force it out what would it look like. It would in my mind be more gaseous, kind of like the first movie but more violent.
I think biollante should return in the final film of the trilogy. Taking over land & sea, killing all other monsters and godzilla the last standing monster on the planet.
While I love them all (Except for maybe the Son Of Godzilla suit), the 1964 MosuGoji suit is by far my favorite. I love the old showa look to him, he still had that classic look, but was still a villain and still looked mean.
its not so much that the trailers are so far apart but more to the point... WHY ARE THEY NOT PUSHING THIS MORE, the monsters has been revealed the toy companies are trouncing secrecy the actors are talking, and i dare say the peeps that are not fans of Godzilla would be with more advertising with special effects on this level... WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY WAITING FOR. the comic book movies start their advertising super early and bring in 100's of millions world wide. BIG G reach out to your fans..... dammmit.
the 54 movie was pretty good VFX for the 50´s, every Godzilla movie since then have the same VFX of the first movie...
This, to me, is one of the more interesting mysteries of the 2014 film. Will it incorporate the events of the 1954 movie in any way, or will it start completely fresh. I don't know, but I hope that they take the 54' film into account, and make the 2014 Godzilla a sort of sequel. I feel it is unlikely, but I can hope.
I would love to have this on my iTunes, could listen to during just about any situation. Excellent work.
That could be cool, depending on whether the movie is actually good for making a game out of. If it is, then I'd be happy with a video game just as long as it doesn't skip the Wii U.
We will see. Once the embargo ends, they will not be able to keep any more secrets. Toys spoil movies. I remember seeing a lego playset for the Hobbit that had legolas saving the dwarves from the spiders. I was upset. Having read the books, I knew about the spiders, but with legolas not being in the books, his envolvment should have been kept a secret.
I hate spoilers, so this marketing does not bother me so much. It's better than what Marvel does, showing you the entire movie in the trailers before you even see it. Does it help with sales, sure, but it ruins the movie.
I understand Godzilla needs to make money, I'm just afraid that once everything lifts, and the floodgates open, there wont be anything left for the movie to reveal.
BIGBADBEN... The sculptures were never legit.
They're on google right now, and the evidence that they are not legit is right in the quote you provided. They were part of a college project. Just because they belong to someone who's involved with Legendary doesn't make them anything that pertains to the new film. They're cool, no arguemnts, but not "legit" to the new film.
What about in Godilla 2000 when they was driving and following Godzilla and you can see is whole body as he walking and just see how different he looks.
Mid-March, I believe.
Utterly irritating.
I believe two people have witnessed the second trailer, and stated that they saw the same scenes. I think this might be legit, however I could be wrong. :)
Sure I would have it
Well, it should be a dead give away that they were legit if they were taken down. If it was just a fan work, then why would WB request for it to be taken down. Also, that Russell McMillin just so happens to have his own website, and on that website, he has a section named Creature Shop Projects.
