I know exactly what you mean. I started re watching all my Godzilla films when I heard about the film. Some parts admittedly looked a little cheesy but some parts were really good and convincing. Godzilla 2000 and 1954 especially

Akagi... thanks for the insult.  I'll have you know the original Gojira is my all time favorite film.  I own three different versions of the original Japanese cut, and have seen it more than any other Godzilla film.  Don't accuse me of "vomiting" up things I don't understand.  I don't wish to start an argument; I come to this site to share my love of Godzilla with other fans, not to fight.  But I will say this... the original film states explicitly that the hydrogen bomb affected Godzilla in some way.  Whether that is creating the monster from a different animal or gifting an existing giant with a scarred appearence and atomic breath, Godzilla is the way he is at least partially due to human technology.  I tend to view the original film retroactively from the point of view of the whole "Godzillasaurus" element introduced in the Heisei series, and I feel the original film is vague enough in Godzilla's origins that the I can get away with that.  Its a personal view, but it works within the context of most films in the series.  I might be alone on that, but I'm a Godzilla fan... if there is one thing I am used to, its being alone.

That's true but I felt this was the best way to inform people on the official date. It is annoying, I admit. And I even thought about doing that but this one definitely got more people's attention. Besides, when we do get the trailer the forums will sky rocket with people's opinions on various topics even though we won't need that many; so a few extra topics on speculation and hype won't hurt as much.

It's not just you. It's a lot of people here. Regardless, it still didn't need another topic as you could've simply edited the other one with new information. And I can all but guarantee that someone will make another topic about it today or tomorrow.

@GMAN2887 I made the last topic about all the info we have so far and I felt this one deserved it's own. I don't plan on making anymore topics on the 2nd trailer.

We have had 8 topics about the second trailer less the 3 days. That's insane people.

Why are there so many needless topics about the 2nd trailer? It seems every time someone has a single idea, suspicion, rumor, guess or hope about the next trailer a new topic is made. This information could have been posted in any one of those.

STOP making new topics about the second trailer. Enough already. We only need one topic about every trailer in all honesty. There's no point in making 8 topics about a single one within 72 hours.

@GOJIRA2014 I don't blame you. All these trolls and misinformation is just messed up coincidences I swear. All the reliable sources are looking bad because the trailer they were talking about turned out to be not even ready yet and that it'd be done by the 14th. I just hope that further info comes soon because I really do believe we're getting a trailer the 27th; even after all this.

I've been reading everyone's comments, and I understand. There's been so many trolls and fake outs I really don't blame you guys, I know I must look like a complete idiot but Movie_maniac_ has never been wrong at all, he's the one that first confirmed the trailer would be ready by Feb. 14th instead of actually uploaded. Even he's commented on the matter not even knowing where the rumor started (Comments below = Source) I know all of you are tired of all this and quite frankly so am I but please trust me on this one. 

The last thing I would want to do is trick everyone. We'll get more confirmation soon but for now trust me. 

@DURP004 I don't. I keep everyone updated and I've realized the info on the trailer I post gets repetitive which is why I created the past forum that I can just update anytime new info comes in, but this one deserved it's own thread.

I hope this is true, I am tired of all the fake news and stories I've heard. If this isn't real then I lost faith in this website and Legendary Pictures/Warner Bros.

Has anyone even WATCHED the original film? They never say that Godzilla is mutated-- they only say hes been awakened by nuclear testing. That is it-- his entire design is meant to look 'scarred' by the radiation, not mutated. Old lobby cards from the original film show that Godzilla was one of MANY Godzillas-- the others being killed by the radiation that scarred him and angered him. There were unused scenes from the original film to show that Godzilla was coming ashore because all of his food (fish) were killed off by the radiation.

I swear, half the fans that vomit up the whole "nuclear holocaust" metaphor haven't even sat through the original film in its original Japanese cut. 

Godzilla was not something 'we created', but something we pissed off.

He didn't really become a mutation until the Heisei films. 

really godzilla's origin should be mostly mystery, that way they can get away if the fact that giant monsters can exist and it won't be shoved down your throat like pacific rim's portal explaination.

i don't think thats the final desgin of the toy, if it is the i guess it is their trademark on their toy lines, also i'm not getting the neca 94 becuase i already have g94 SH MA. i want the godzilla 1984/85 as there is no SH MA g84, i also hope they do a 1954 godzilla

Yeah I knew that there were holes in this the size of Godzilla but its food for thought, you know, and this is more interesting then half the stuff being posted lately. And this is just a fun little thing I threw together, it's not like I expect this to be any Godzilla's origin story.

according to the synopsis of the prequel comic Godzilla: The awakening, he is a ancient creature awakened by the nuclear testing in the pacific, just like the original and obvious the radiation of the bombs affects him to give him the a-breath

Very intersting, but personally I am still hoping that Godzilla remains OUR creation in this film.  Thats how it has pretty much always been, and I see no reason to change it.  The original Godzilla was designed with the point of view that it had been mutated by the bomb, and exists because of us.  If Godzilla were to simply be awakened as Godzilla already, it takes the blame for the monster's creation off of our shoulders, and a key point of the character's power is lost.  It could be done and still be an incredible Godzilla film, but I feel the fact that we CREATED Godzilla, not simply woke him up, is an important part of the character's history and appeal.  Plus, as fantastic as mutating an animal into a monster might be in ANY cercumstances, doing it in the atomic age is more plossible and appropriate.  Having a dinosaur somehow atomically mutated millions of years ago is kind of a stretch, and, even in the realm of science fiction, far less plausible.

But if that's the direction they go, than I have a feeling that the explanation (if one is provided in the film) will be close to your hypothesis. :)

i'm not totally sure, but, ive always seen instinctive gigan as pretty reliable so i won't doubt it too much

God, I hope is is true.  Please let it be true!!!!  I don't like being a skeptic, but I'm approaching this, like most of you, with caution.  This dude's track record is mixed, at best.  Some say he's reliable, some say he's not.  But it looks like several people are saying the same thing, so it appears that multiple people have seen the trailer, or at least have been in communication with somene who has (or claims to have) seen it.  But as awesome as this could be, remember... some looser out there put the time and effort into creating some really oficial looking video clips that fooled pretty much all of us, so there is NO LIMIT to how far these trolls go to fool us.  They have proven that they will sink pretty low just for a quick thrill, so something like spreading stories about a new trailer that got picked up by several people who believe they are in communication with someone who has seen it is not beyond the realm of possibility. 

But that said, I pray I am wrong.  I think this could be the news we have been waiting so long for, but I'm not getting my hopes up... just in case.  But even if this isn't true, we will still be getting this trailer within the next few weeks! :D

Seeing that past rumors of a trailer "supposedly" coming out on a specific date have proven false, I'm not believeing any rumors until it appears in the Legendary channel on YouTube or in a theater prior to an upcoming film.

the guy was wrong TWICE, but he keeps pushing the date back so he's going to get it right eventually, im not impressed at all. id rather take a alook at alberta film ratings to see if the trailer gets listed than listen to someone who got the dates wrong twice and keeps moving it until eventually he gets it correct

Okay, im still not sure about this, but im gonna give my opinion.

Narrating is something i kinda dislike. I hate it because most of the time, its just to inform the audience about how this and that works, or what going on (kinda like with the Paific Rim trailers). But there are sometimes when its done right. We`ll just have to wait and see.

Alot more destruction. Well, we havent seen any yet, we`ve only seen the aftermath of Godzilla`s rampage at the end of the HALO jump. So i guess that nice.

A very good scientific hypothesis, but it is flawed. Just as Puff, The Magic Dragon posted above, the radiation would have stripped the carcass down to nothing. Before the animal could be mutated, it must be alive. Then, by a miracle of nature, would the animal mutate into a superbeast. Only the orignal creators of Godzilla know his true origin.

2. why is it when they say realitic you instantly think it is the look, did you not think the realistic part will be the EFFECT of his breath, the effect of the breath will look much better than the look of the breath, also the beam looks cooler. i'm pretty sure it is blue because remember that leaked mini toy with the blue light, and that was legit (the toy it's self not the box) because it looked very similar to the recent toy design leaks

I want an energy beam to for nostalgia sake, but the gaseous form for realism. I do however, have a large amount of my money on a nuclear pulse of somekind. I just dont see a single blast of atomic breath casuing as much destruction as to obliterate Hawaii.(as previous reports detail.)

It's going to be a beam or energy of some sort. If you look at the picture that shows the building with the hole in it, something cut clean through it. Gas or fire wouldn't leave such a clean hole, and wouldn't cover as much distance.
