-Godzilla is an dinosaur who survive the massive extintion and the ice age, inmune to NUCLEAR attaks, can swim in magma, fights against a butterfly goddes AND it exist.

c´mon people, we all know that this movie will be realistic, but is a MOVIE, not a documentary...

I'll be honest I didn't even know this was a thing.  I'm gonna have to go with Madison on this one, I see no gills, and even if he has them, who cares. I understand some people don't like it from an aesthetic perspective, but I don't know about it being a weakness.  Seems like people are jumping the gun a bit here, worrying over things that they shouldn't really be worrying about. Also seeing as there's no way to alleviate these fears until the movie comes out, I don't see a reason to get worked up (not to mention its not really clear as to whether or not he even has gills...)

I'm 95% sure that trailer 2A is the International version of the main trailer.

Just like they had a separate International trailer for the teaser. 

That's my guess anyway. Hopefully it will have some new footage. Even if it does though, it will probably only be a few seconds that isn't repeated.

-.- no jus no this trailer is 2:33 the other one is 2:22 and its been recently classified! the main trailer got released on tuesday and the new one got rated on thursday! THE 27TH and the new transformers age of extinction has been rated and waiting to be released,so this is freaking legit! someone please confirm. 

I've been wondering how the 1954 connection is going to be worked into the movie myself. I originally thought that Bryan Cranston's voiceover in the trailer was his character talking to Serizawa about what actually happened at that time, and that it had been somehow "cover-storied" into some kind of natural phenomena, but now that I've seen the IGN video, that theory is gone.

If something was "awakened" in 1954, what events took place from that? Also, what happened between 1954 and present day?

Toho just doesnt study well enough to know how to do things, and im sorry if its sounding like im hating on Toho, but im not really, its just that its their fault that people dont even like Godzilla and that we g fans have to love Godzilla but be bothered from negative perspectives

Okay, so at first i will be honset i was a little like(what?) when i saw gills, but ive gotten over it. GODZILLA is godzilla after all, dosent matter to me in the end...

You asked a question, I answered it. 

I mentioned the sources just so you knew where to look in case you wanted to know more. 

I understand not everyone has read every source, and many DO NOT WANT to read every source. They enjoy speculating more than actually knowing prior to the film's release. Which is fine.

I honestly wasn't sure whether you were more interested in knowing vs speculating, which is why I put SPOILER ALERT and gave a vague answer. 

I was trying to balance being informative and considerate. I wasn't trying to be aggressive in any way. I'm not really sure where you got that from. 

Here's why I don't like the gills....Because Godzilla NEVER HAD THEM. Now, I know that this is a new design, and it's great. What I've seen so far, I really like. In fact, I'm bordering on being overjoyed. But Godzilla just doesn't need gills. I suppose (if they are indeed gills,) that they will be worked into the story somehow, like Godzilla has been hybernating down in the ocean's depths for some length of time or something. But whatever. It just seems unnecassary. And quite frankly, if you're going to make him look like a dinosaur, or at least clearly reptilian, then the gills just seem out of place. I've said before, I have no desire for Godzilla to be realistic per say, but the gills just don't look like they belong on such an animal. 

And to Kaijugroupie84, your heart is in the right place. But, my friend, we are intitled to nitpick if we want. We are intitled to our opinions, and it is part of the experience leading up to the movie to discuss them. It's fun. And let's face it, if you happen to not like some aspect of the design, or don't like it at all, you are not going to convince yourself that it's good just so the movie wont be ruined. It's going to dissapoint you. Believe me, I tried that bit in '98. It didn't work. I mean no disrespect to you, but if you don't like discussing the design, then don't. I, as an illustrator and a lifelong fan, enjoy it.

but possobly in later films he will use it a little more.

@Gojira2K, I agree and it explains how Godzilla can survive underwater for so long.  And if people are worried about them being a weak spot, here's a point I have to make: Multiple Nuclear blasts couldn't kill him, what makes you think artillery fired at his gills could kill him?

I love the gills. I think it is a great new feature to add to the big G. Everyone has their own opinion, wether someone hates the gills or someone else likes the gills. We all have to accept it. Personally, giving him gills actually makes a lot of sense since he spends most of his time underwater. People just need to stop being so picky and stop complaining and enjoy his new design.

I actually like the gills. They make him look really cool.

I'm pretty sure that whatever happened 15 years ago is what we see in the trailer with Cranston running down the hallway and I'm guessing the scene where the door closes between him and his wife. My guess is she dies because of it.  In Cranston's dialogue he says, "I deserve answers!!"  because he knows that whatever they are keeping a secret was te cause of his wife's death and he wants it stopped so that no one else has to suffer.

Ok, first, It is a movie...so I don't understand why we have been so spoiled into thinking that everything in this movie has to be realistic to the point where it doesn't make sense, and second, why are people still nit-picking???? My god, he looks like Godzilla, can't we all just quit looking the gift horse in the mouth and be happy with what we have???  I really think that people are reading WAY too far into this and are ruining the movie for themselves.
