Godzilla seems to have no other amphibian characteristics in the new design. Look at those feet, they look great for swimming, don't they? The "gills" look out of place. And if you(Demplex,) dont like gill threads, don't post on them. You perpetuate the argument you find annoying. And to Godzilla 2014 Rules, there is already nothing realistic about Godzilla. Nothing. Someone decided to make a 350 foot, nuclear fire breathing mutated dinosaur more realistic by slapping gills on it? And when when Demplex is talking about being annoyed by people starting gill threads, he's talking about you. But I, for one, would be happy to discuss gills with you.

I agree. :) AS much as I love the kooky Showa films, I prefer a realistic fighting style for this particular Godzilla. :)

Call it fatty mcdeadlizard or centipede deadskies, just stop calling it Vishnu. Its like a total insult to the intelligence of this fandom for people to assume that the creature's name is Vishnu just because of the naration in the trailer. By that logic could we assume its name is "become death" or "Destroyer of Worlds"?

I'm 99 percent sure these are fake. I follow toy blogs (A dozen or so) including one that is particularly for bandai-- this isn't how bandai presents future figures. The monsters would be blacked out, not grayed out. There would be more going on in the picture as well, instead a plain, gray background. This looks more like a clever fan fakery than anything-- and looks like most of you have been had.
Yeah, dont know why people are still complaining about it...
Gareth said that in the old movies the fights turn into wwe matches, picking up the opponent and trowing him around, so this is much better alternative

I believe the 3rd image is the centipede-like creature from the concept trailer. Remember it had what looked like a shell and a long tail.

I saw a flying monster, and the leg that matches the second image. I can't come close to explaining what I see in the third one, besides the dead creature I seen from an extended teaser trailer

ive also notecied that godzillas trailer was on msn.com, and earler in the the week the sports station was talking about it, not to mention good morning america was saying a few things about on there show... but those are the sources i know about. its a really good sign to me... i think the king can claim his throne again :)

I don't know what you guys are seeing on the right, but I definitely see something on the bottom left. It looks organic, and dead.
From what IGN said about the movie after they saw 20mins of footage, this is incorrect. Im not going to post any spoilers but Serizawa does not create the oxygen destroyer in 54. And Theres no continuity between the 54 Gojira and G14
And let me add, Just beacuse it looks like the filmakers are doing alot of great things, doesn't mean they've done everything great. Valid criticisms can lead to positive change. In this case, criticisms may be premature, but as I've said, it's fun to discuss elements of the film as they trickle out. But fans should voice their opinions. That's why we are getting what looks like a potentially great Godzilla film and not bad sequels to Godzilla '98.
Need I remind people that whales, dolphins, and sea turtles live in the ocean and do not have gills. Lets throw crocodilians in there as well, as they spend much of their time in water. I guess someone should tell them that they are going to drown. Also, I should hope that Godzilla should not have his atomic breath, because we want "realism" and that has never and could never happen, correct? Traditionally, Godzilla is a dino. Is there any evidence that dino's had gills? Does Godzilla even closely resemble an amphibian, fish, or mollusk? Does Batman carry a gun because police do? After all, they are all crimefighters. If Batman were "realistic," he would have no doubt been shot to pieces early in his carreer. Oh wait, he knows karate. I digress.....
Godzilla never had gills, doesn't need them, and they look out of place. Perhaps they serve some other purpose, such as with his atomic breath (which we have already established, while being awesome, is completely outlandish.) Or perhaps he uses them for hybernating in the deep oceans for years on end, which totally makes sense for such a large animal. Then fine. Whatever. Let us accept everything about a 350 foot, mutated, nuclear fire breating monster, except that he could swim to the surface of water to breath through his nostrils.

ive seen all of the G films as a true fan has and have all in my collectiion of DVDs and vhs tapes! I never waste time in assuming what the CQC will be like or what radition beam he will use!
heck lets just wait and see and quit the assumptions and suppositions lol!
