NECA Godzilla 1985 Canceled

I would take the Godzilla 2014 6 inch figure if I were you. Still sad though, I wonder why?

Yeah I took the figure, even though I already pre-ordered the 12 inch. No reason was given for the cancellation, and I dont know if we ever will know. I asume other members are getting the email to and can conferm this, otherwise I can post a photo or something.

Damnit! 1985 is my favorite Godzilla suit by far. I'm really bummed out to hear this.

I wouldn't worry about it, I pre-ordered both classic Godzilla figures through bigbadtoystore and when they emailed me on the cancellation of the 1985 figure, they said it was just being pulled from listing. It's still going to be released, but at a later date as it was never actually formally announced. So basically just keep an eye on websites for when they start re-listing the 1985 figure.

I can almost guarantee that it's because the film itself is in copyright hell, and anything that is in part with the film cannot be produced or sold without Toho's consent.  And they still won't release it on DVD...wait a minute, it could be that Toho wants to release it finally to DVD and wants to release the NECA figure to coincide with it???

That sucks.  I was looking forward to this, the '84/'85 Godzilla had a great design that I would love an articulated figure of.

Wait have you guys even seen the figure?? The design does not look nearly as good as the actual 84goji design.
