If that neck were a little longer, and that head were a little bigger it'd be perfect.
Still, it's a damned fine model!
The model seems kind of obese
@godzillafan1995
I actually joined in January so please forgive me that I was not there to witness the communitie's tantrums.
The original idea was just 'giant sea monster'. Originally it was going to be a claymation octopus. They scrapped the idea because 'giant octopus' had already been done too often, and claymation took a lot longer than they expected.
Guys, that's probably a production model worth more than your next mortgage.
the neck loooks wierd, but thats probably just the angle
wasnt the idea behind the design like a chimera of different dinosaurs? i think it was a trexs head, body, and legs, with iguanadon arms and stegasurus plates. and then i think the tail and skin texture were supposed to be crocodillian in nature. now i must say that the origional failed at that, however that failure is what ended up giving godzilla his unique design and im personally very glad that it didnt look like what was intended, because what was intended, actually would look a lot like zilla unfortunatly. if i had been the one designing based on those criteria (and at that time) it probably would have looked like a cross of zilla and the originial 54 godzilla. i wonder how that would look.
My goodness!!! This is a huge find, superb job. I hope THAT model (or a copy of it) will be for sale cause it looks even better than the NECA figure!
Ah never mind, it's not a song from the Godzilla soundtrack, it's by an ambient band called Stars of the Lid. I knew this band before I heard the song, but I had allmost forgotten about it. It's weird how they don't use original music in the trailers.....but it is a sign of really good taste from the creators of this film, this music isn't for everyone.
@Madison
Well... considering the Adult Junior at the end of vs. Destroyah is just the 1995 suit with its "Burning" lights turned off, and THAT suit is just a modified 1994 Godzilla suit... you're kinda right. The new "Adult Junior" figure basically is the 1994 Godzilla...
I don't see the point of getting that figure if you already have a '94 Godzilla. They look identical.
I think the fact that this strategy has literally no resemblance to the Pacific Rim strategy shows there are worse ways this movie could be marketed-- and Legendary's not doing the whole, "Lambast everyone two weeks before the movie!" method. It's a slow trickle of hype and information as the weeks go by and the date gets closer.
I don't think they're showing too much and having a large stock of TV trailers to show during the NCAA Basketball championships is probably the wisest thing they've done yet.
It's hilarious how the mentality of fans has gone from "They're not advertising the movie! It's going to fail!" to "They're showing too much." Just goes to show fans really had no reason to be so negative all those months back and don't know how marketing works.
@ Marvelgoji: What part of the word "PUNCTUATION" is not being understood? Periods, commas...I'm sure you've heard of these, right?
AFA the "Gills Controversy": what possible difference does it make? If they're gills, fine. If they're not gills, fine.
I appreciate your all's feedback. this kaiju looks AWESOMEEE but unfortunately it probably won't be in the movie :(
I'm up for a surprise though!
GODZILLA 2014 FIGURES INSTOCK! at www.monsterislandtoys.com
Considering that Gareth Edwards is going for the 'realistic' approach, I don't think the Big G will move quickly at all. It would be pretty unrealistic to depict something that large and bulky moving quickly. However, I think his tail will be shown as more active and whip-like than previous incarnations, if that one scene in the trailer is any indication.
if i can recall, i remeber that nearly everyone on this site was bitching at legendary for not showing much, you got what you came for now your saying that they have shown too much despite the fact that 95% of the extended look was footage we have already seen.
I understand you completely zaffzilla and I agree.
True, but I'm just a bit worried. Whilst it may not be the whole thing the basic idea is still in our heads.
@Devianteist- Hahahaha good one, but it's supposed to be ironic, cause I'm a nice guy in real life
Probably a rayquaza like creature, that would be nice....
Another commission of an original Kaiju character CORONAX from the CKC forums.

@AggressiveKaiju45- Isn't your name AggressiveKaiju for a reason? :P Also, no, you didn't sound harsh, judging from Gojira429's response.
^- But as he said, I will agree with entirely. I'd like to see more, though.
Seeing as I'm lagging behind the rest of the community here, and the fact I've been lagging behind as a G-Fan for the last few years (I've kinda caught up, still need to see KongvBigG).
Anyway, back on topic (got side tracked), no I believe they have not shown us too much. Why? Because all we've seen is the death, really. Not the fallout afterward. Not the emotion tearing through the hearts of the characters.
Showing that would be too much.
Showing what they have is like a piece of bread. We still need to find the full loaf.
Oh. Oops. My bad.
And its KingKaijuGojira. Alot of people spell my username wrong.
Your welcome :) Oh and I apologize if I sounded a tad bit too harsh.
@KaijuKritc
True dat.
Well consider my speculation squashed under Godzilla's foot. Thank you Destructo.
Oops, double post. Stupid lage (I think I spelled that wrong. I can't spell on a computer without spell check)
Well consider my speculation squashed under Godzilla's foot. Thank you Destructo.
Mine would have been terrible. 'Nuff said.
That's hard to say. I know that if the producers told me to design a giant sea monster, my first thoughts wouldn't be 'Exaggerated T-Rex'.
Time to squash your speculation.
-S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (2014) is scheduled for a summer release. (Most likely August for Japan, September for the USA)
-Toho has a restriction on all Japanese products revolving around the Godzilla 2014 film. Similar to the USA image embargo, but this is instead a PRODUCT resctriction. There is no current date when JP merchandise restriction will be lifted. A good estimated guess is May 10th at the Akiba Showroom when Tamashii Nation's debut's it's summer line up.
-The new Godzilla (Adult Junior) is a rehash of the 1995 figure. Not the 1994 figure. Nothing with this release is related to the 1994 figure in any way.
-Godzilla (Adult Junior) is actually the cheapest Heisei Godzilla released to date, at prices as low as $49.99 (not including shipping).
-There's still plenty of Heisei coming our way in the future. You can bank on more incarnations.
@Devianteist- Thank you. I never considered a rivalry great based on their difference of external motives, but rather of their internal relation. Much like Joker and Batman in a way.
Thank you for the review and the advice :) i'll take it into account next time a make a trailer.
Yes, most undoubtedly!
What if your wrong and there not gills because you don't know what they are because the only way you can know what they are is if Garth told us and if we saw the movie so yeah if I'm wrong I'm wrong if I'm right I'm right if your wrong your wrong if your right your right we honestly don't know what they are but Garth said that he would keep some classic things but he would look different but with some classic things and he told us if you would watch the interviews how the movie will be realistic and. By looking at the figures and the game and the trailers there the same color as his skin and look completely attached so there's now room for any gill slits because they look like there completely attached to the skin just saying but hey we won't know until we see the movie or if Gareth tells us what they are
Well lets start with the good points. The music went appropriatly well with the scenes ( at times), and you used the actual scenes from the trailers. The transition of music was a bit rusty but aceptable. The only problem I had were that it felt like it kept drawling on and on with no real end. Even though there were some perfectly good points to end the trailer, you still kept it going on, which would cause a bit of a bore.
Overall, good but generic.
@KINGkaijugojira no I was'nt asking you why you posted I was asking that avara person
That would be interesting. Although it may take some time to think about it.
What an insufferable insignificant insect. OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!!!!!
