MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 9:56 AMWhat is the most appropriate ending for the movie? I believe that they will stick to the original and Godzilla will die probably from fatal injuries after he kills the mutos and not from an oxygen destroyer like machine.

There are plenty of threads on it if you'd care to talk about it there, but creating a new one was pointless and stale. I don't want to sound mean, but you need to do a search on these topics before posting about them again alright. This thread is likely to be closed by a moderator very soon so be prepared for that.
In regards to the question of "will Godzill die?"
I doubt it.
Gareth said he wanted this to be a stand alone film that could do well on its own, but since the option of sequels is open should it do well enough, that means by default that Godzilla HAS TO LIVE. If Godzilla dies, the sequel idea goes bye bye.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 1:05 PMI agree that this topic has been done to death and that we don't need another one.
However, Godzilla DID die in the original film, and that didn't stop the franchise from creating a zillion and a half sequels.

Akagi
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 1:10 PMI doubt he'll die.
And if he does, he'll come back in some superficial way.
But godzilla dieing from wounds inflicted from a battle is lame.

MemberBaragonApr-08-2014 1:42 PMif anything i dont think that this godzilla is going to die but i have a very weird feeling that bryan cranston or someone else that is a main character probably will.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 2:09 PMOne simple word. No. I say that because the theme constantly talked about is man vs nature. To me that would be like saying we could stop a tornado or a tsunami. It will reak havoc and then fade away leaving us to deal with the aftermath. The scary part about those things is they give no real warning and can return at anytime...
i agree with BIGBADBEN tho. Cranston will probably die. It would make the most sense

you make a very good point no matter how far we get with today's technology god and nature itself can defeat us every time. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 2:27 PMExactly BIGBADBEN. I think hes going finish off the mutos in an epic fashion and retreat back into the water battered but not beaten. From a movie stand point that leaves u a sequal open but also giving closure to this movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 3:39 PMwell, I have a fealing Godzilla is gonna die. It's just a gut feeling. But if he doesn't, that'll be cool.

swat nation
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-09-2014 11:06 AMI think he will get killed after he kills the mutos theyre probally going to kill him during attach bombs to his back on the halo jump scene

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-09-2014 11:44 AM@Swat Nation: Er... what difference does it make attaching bombs onto Godzilla's back and detonating them, compared to direct assaults using fighter jets ? Even a nuclear bomb dropped directly above Godzilla didn't kill him in 1954.

MemberBaragonApr-09-2014 2:02 PM@destroyah-x
well that is...somewhat true... but however, the atomic bomb in the 1954 film really only removed godzilla from his natural habitat. Dr.Yamana gives a huge point on that in the film.
also even in this new film they awakened this godzilla back in 1954 as well though there is really no connection between the two films both godzilla's have a natural habitat and both were eventually reawakened. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-09-2014 5:20 PMIn Hollywood, anything that dies, can be brought back. If Godzilla DOES die in this new movie, and if it brings enough box office to warrant a sequel, Gareth Edwards would find a way to ressurect him. He died in the original movie, right?

Devianteist
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-10-2014 7:09 AMWasn't it already established that, during the nuclear tests in the Pacific, the nukes were being used to directly assault Godzilla? If this is the case, then what would SWAT Nation's theory be able to do to Godzilla if several nukes (plural, Pacific tests) couldn't get the job done?
Just pointing that out.
