Well, Gareth Edwards only joined the project about 3 years ago. Before that, only a very broad outline for a new Godzilla film was drawn. It hasn't been cooking for THAT long.

Also, your enthusiasm is great, but you'd only be thanking Edwards for great trailers, unless you've somehow already seen the finished film. It could totally suck, you know. Very rarely does a film go through the hands of 5 or 6 average Hollywood writers and come out shinning. I want it to be fantastic, but don't expect a phenomenon.

For me, I want to see the movie first because what if it sucks? I personally think it looks fantastic but again I would have to see the movie first.

guys to be honest i really dont see how a bug of any species is going to kill a dinosaur, no matter how big they get or how aggressive they are.

I think these muto's are an alien like species it is very slim that you hear of a bug eating a dinosaur little lone one that can take on a 350 foot high monster. :)

well that is...somewhat true... but however, the atomic bomb in the 1954 film really only removed godzilla from his natural habitat. Dr.Yamana gives a huge point on that in the film.

also even in this new film they awakened this godzilla back in 1954 as well though there is really no connection between the two films both godzilla's have a natural habitat and both were eventually reawakened. :)

We already have another topic saying that some of the leaked script is real but not all of it. The whole mutos lay eggs in godzilla was scrapped by gareth.

to me if godzilla dies i think that will depress me more given the work and time they have spent on making this movie, but if cranston's character dies then it would be very depressing due to how we connect with his character in this movie.

Wow these pods/pokeballs unfold to the Godzilla and MUTO! I agree they ain't no eggs. Japs make the coolest toys!!

I'd assume Godzilla's death would be more depressing than any othe character's, but I was just thinking about a rather interesting idea. I think that it would be incredible if the development of the characters was so astounding that if they were to die because of Godzilla, we could actually, dare I say it, hate Godzilla. I don't think that we could actually hate the King of the Monsters, but I personally think that it could make a massive impact on the plot and could be better for the story. It may just be my crazy day-dreaming ways again...

Not sure if you are all aware of this but those are not eggs, that's what the toy looks like folded up!

I could not found the topic about the approximate duration of the new Godzilla movie, so I will put this info here.

Yeah that's why I figured Brody might die. I can see him having an intensely tragic death scene too lol

Where did you find this? I wish there was a HD picture.

I'd be more upset if Godzilla died. Brody has been set up as a tragic character. They tend to die in stories, part atonement and part release.
