Muto hatched from a dead Godzilla?

In the new extended trailer, when it shows Ken Watanabe's character looking out the the hole, you can see the ribs from the skeleton scene.. it then immediately shifts to the outside and shows where a creature came from underground and lumbered to the ocean ( to begin feeding on submarines ? ). So it appears one Muto gestates inside a dead Godzilla corpse ( or some other giant prehistoric monster ). And another underground muto is gestating in the ruins of the Japanese nuclear power plant.. where the military has set up monitoring it ( which I believe is whats being shown in the TV spot ). Thoughts?

So...your saying Muto is a type of Xenomorph? I think they just zoomed out to show the size of the skeleton and the rest of the cave/tunnel.

The trail from the sea is the submarine being dragged from the sea onto land i reckon. Explaing the nuclear reactor or something in the woods being all covered in what im going to say muto saliva. I dont believe the two shots are from the same thing

Wow! didn;t even think of that! totally debunnks the idea that it would be a slithering type kaiju! Definitely the submarine.

Another thing, did anyone discuss the 1:29:59 countdown on that object in the trailer right after the MUTO shot?

In other words, you're saying the leaked 'fake script' is real?

BigBoss90, I thought that was a trail heading towards the sea. As a nod to the first movie. After Godzilla first appeared, he headed to the sea, leaving a trail behind him.

You hit the nail CLEMHAZARD. I think you are rigth, that scene of the skeleton and that of Dr Serizawa looking to the hole are one and the same. Now, about the trail to the ocean, I think that the new-born Muto is too small to leave that huge trail of destruction. Probably is from the Submarine, and the Muto bring it to the place of its birth, or something like that.

I don't think that the Mutos are like the Xenomorph, because these last ones adapt they body form to that of its host (remember the dog-alien of Alien 3). Mutos, on the other hand, are like the modern parasite insects, that only use living hosts like coccons, but don't adapt its form.

I can see that, but the way he said it above with the ribs, I though he was saying one chestbursted from the body.

This article from Wikipedia is interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasitoid_wasp

And this is an image of one of those parasitoid species:

wasp

Normally, this species search other insects that can be easely dominated, however, one species search another "huge" predator for its larvae, the Spider wasp, here is an interesting article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/life/Spider_wasp

spider

This seems to be the case of Mutos IF the leaked script results to be true (which seems to be the case).

Thats just what I gathered from it..could be wrong...but it certainly looks that way to me. The "smaller" muto came from a radioactive godzilla corpse. The newer, larger, more powerful muto, used the nuclear powerplant to grow. In my opinion.

We already have another topic saying that some of the leaked script is real but not all of it. The whole mutos lay eggs in godzilla was scrapped by gareth.

guys to be honest i really dont see how a bug of any species is going to kill a dinosaur, no matter how big they get or how aggressive they are.

I think these muto's are an alien like species it is very slim that you hear of a bug eating a dinosaur little lone one that can take on a 350 foot high monster. :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the corpse was not confirmed as a Godzilla corpse. Anyone who says it was is full of bs and is not to be paid attention to. And cuts in the footage do not necessarily equal consecutive scenes or sequences.

I take no stock in such a theory.

Akagi, I know you're so very proud about how you predicted the leaked script might be real, but could you please stop spoiling the movie for everyone?

Bigbadben: Nobody is saying that the Mutos are “insects”, and is no evidence (for the moment) that they are “aliens”. I put the example of the spider wasp just to show that this type of behavior really exists, that is all. Besides, there is some type of parasite fly (several, in fact) that lay eggs in large animals like horses, jaguars and even humans! Of course that they don't kill the host, but they create great damage in the skin and muscle, that with time and infection, can be deadly. Maybe the Mutos infested the ancient large animals, sometimes even the weak specimens in the Godzilla species, however, like ALL posted here, this is just speculation. The only thing that we know is that Godzilla and Mutos were ancient foes, no more, no less.

TW_G-Fan2014: You are right, nobody can say if that huge skeleton was or not from a Godzilla, in fact, I was one of the first in mentioning that the skeleton itself is too long and slim to be of any Godzilla-like animal. It looks more like a huge snake or long reptile, we must take in count that in the prehistory (in the Godzilla time-line, obviously), there were many other giant animals, not only Godzillas and Mutos. Now, about the trailer, you are wrong, the scenes of Dr Serizawa with the skeleton and that looking to the hole looks like if they were from the same shot, check the ribs of the skeleton, they can be seen when Dr Serizawa is covering his eyes from the light that came from the relative large hole.

Finally, these topics most NOT be for fighting, we are only speculating. These posts most be to get fun, talking about what we saw and what we think. Good language and respect most be the rule ALLWAYS.

Guys, I said it once and I will say it again the whole mutos laying eggs in godzilla idea was scrapped by Gareth Edwards. Also the leaked script is mostly true but not all of it because it was an earlier version of the final script.

Ok, just leave it like that. Too many immature kids in the place had produced immature answers (check the spam in other topics, is absurd at some point), and the last thing that I want is a debate based in speculation.

Let's just wait the 36 days left and then we will write about our appreciations, based in facts and not only in hypothesis.

MemberTitanosaurusApr-09-2014 7:36 PM

Bro thats not speculation there is an article that says that the muto laying eggs thing was scrapped.

GuateGojira

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-09-2014 10:15 PM

In fact, there are several articles about what has been “accepted” and what has been “abandoned”, but even then, it is speculation because only the final product will give us the true. For the moment, only the data from the Empire Magazine is the most accurate for me.

Some time ago, I was the first saying that I was NOT agree with the idea that the Muto “hunted” the Godzilla species, however some posters tell me that I should not be mad for that, that if the history was like that, we should accept it.

Now, other posters are telling the contrary, at the end, who is right?

But, there are only 35 days left, let’s wait and then we would see if all our hypothesis and ideas were or not true. For the moment, I am prepare for the best and the worst, whatever happens, I am glad to see Godzilla again, that is the important for me. :o)
