I agree, the movie needs to come out and be obsorbed into my eye balls before I thank anyone.  But if everything I have seen about this film turns out to be tue, than Gareth is getting a hardy thank you and a bear hug from me! :)

Dear God, we have been over this ad nauseum!  Google mixed up the original Gojira and the new film, which are both showing in theaters.  Gojira is 98 minutes.  Godzilla 2014 is not.  Google scewed up.

They look nothing alike.

Bigbadben: Nobody is saying that the Mutos are “insects”, and is no evidence (for the moment) that they are “aliens”. I put the example of the spider wasp just to show that this type of behavior really exists, that is all. Besides, there is some type of parasite fly (several, in fact) that lay eggs in large animals like horses, jaguars and even humans! Of course that they don't kill the host, but they create great damage in the skin and muscle, that with time and infection, can be deadly. Maybe the Mutos infested the ancient large animals, sometimes even the weak specimens in the Godzilla species, however, like ALL posted here, this is just speculation. The only thing that we know is that Godzilla and Mutos were ancient foes, no more, no less.

TW_G-Fan2014: You are right, nobody can say if that huge skeleton was or not from a Godzilla, in fact, I was one of the first in mentioning that the skeleton itself is too long and slim to be of any Godzilla-like animal. It looks more like a huge snake or long reptile, we must take in count that in the prehistory (in the Godzilla time-line, obviously), there were many other giant animals, not only Godzillas and Mutos. Now, about the trailer, you are wrong, the scenes of Dr Serizawa with the skeleton and that looking to the hole looks like if they were from the same shot, check the ribs of the skeleton, they can be seen when Dr Serizawa is covering his eyes from the light that came from the relative large hole.

After examining the photo for roughly 10 or so minutes, it appears that a makeshift complex has been built nearby the Godzilla carcass and holes were drilled down to attempt an extraction of the long-frozen corpse.

That's my take.

I'm not thanking anybody yet. If I've learned anything from anyone, it's definitely from the Duke Nukem fans. They waited so long for that game, Duke Nukem: Forever, and they got such a miserable game.

We watch the movie first. Then we praise or condemn it and its creators.

I like the picture of him frozen in the ice. Reminds me of when he was frozen in Godzilla Final Wars.

It looks like Godzilla encased in ice and what you're referring to as looking like a piece of wood next to him actually looks like some kind of ship, perhaps a fishing ship.

Akagi, I know you're so very proud about how you predicted the leaked script might be real, but could you please stop spoiling the movie for everyone?

Godzilla being found frozen in antartic ice was originally a concept from the so called "fake" leaked script.  As more details come out it seems the script wasn't fake at all just a rough early version.

Like the others said, we need to see the movie first. 

Secondarily, I don't know if I would verbally 'thank' him, even if the movie was good. It was his job, he got paid to do it. I have to pay to see it. If he did a good job, I'd thank him by seeing it again. 

The more money this movie makes, the higher salary he can leverage if they contract him to do another one, so I figure that's appreciation enough. 

It's not like he did me or anybody else a favor by making the movie. Maybe if he gave me a comped ticket or something I'd thank him. But failing that, I'll vote my approval/disapproval with my wallet.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the corpse was not confirmed as a Godzilla corpse. Anyone who says it was is full of bs and is not to be paid attention to. And cuts in the footage do not necessarily equal consecutive scenes or sequences.
