To be honest I would prefer no supernatural elements to be in this film.
I agree that a subtle supernatural twist would be....interesting. Nothing blatantly obvious like GMK but something like an eerie undertone.
In Toledo, Oh Godzilla is known, but for the most part there doesn't seem to be a really visible fanbase. I've met only a small handful of people who I would discribe as fans (though there seems to be a number of people interesting in seeing the new movie). Fortunately, of all the people who have seen my recent tattoo, only one mistook Big G for a generic dragon design -_-
Yeah, big fan of it. The only one i didnt lie was the 4th alien movie, that was weird.
I understood fine, I guess I simply wasn't clear enough. In short: What you're looking for does not exist. Sony has yet to release the Japanese "audio track", but because there are significant changes between the American and Japanese versions, it wouldn't be as simple as putting in a Japanese audio track.
Sony made enough cuts and edits to Godzilla 2000 where it would be impossible to sync a Japanese audio track to their version. Thus an entirely different version (Toho's Japanese version) would have to be released from Sony in order for you to watch the film in Japanese language. (Hence, Japanese version.) This may happen if their upcoming Bluray prove successful.
Title changed for those wanting to avoid all spoilers. Try not to put spoilers in the title and give people a heads up next time, Godkilla2000.
No love for G1984? :( That's disappointing.
This Godzilla gets too much figure love. It's a real shame they cancelled the Godzilla 1984 figure.
I lived in IRAN one time for 8 yrs and believe it or not Godzilla is quite popular there the Channel there use to show Godzilla films alot. so Im suprise by the other comments saying that Godzilla aint quite popluar in their place : /
I knew few Godzilla fans in Finland and I've seen few Godzilla statues in videogame/boardgame shops. We've had few movies released here on VHS and DVD (every Heisei film and few from Showa) and they've showed about 10 different Kaiju films in TV. That's pretty much it.
The saddest thing happened when I was watching Paranromal Activity - The Marked Ones with my friends and when the Godzilla trailer played before one teenager in front (around 17-18) asked from his friend: "What is Godzilla?"
I cried and I was pissed.
Idk I think I would rather pay to help it earn money at the Box Office.
^which also belongs in the merchandise thread
ANGUIRUS THE GREAT AND POWERFUL.
the picture of the figure is already on the merchandising thread, her im just showing off the figure from other angles.
Two words.
Natural selection.
I'm guessing thats the same white mist that shoots out of the cave when the soldiers are formed up in front of it. Or if it isn't, it could just be really, really radioactive fallout.
I never realized this until now but the hokmuto looks very reminiscent of a predator
This belongs in the merchandising thread, it exists for a reason
@Mediafreak
Nope.
Pretty cool I'll be starting mine larer this month although the heads all will be side views.
..... troll
Change the title, it's kind of a spoiler for some
(I know what the last trailer showed but some said they weren't watching any more as to not spoil themselves)
loved alien, aliens, prometheus, predator. The other sequels and crossovers left a bad taste in my mouth
Yeah, I love the Alien series and the Predator series as well as the 2 AVP movies. I also have some of the Alien and Predator books and the 3 AVP books. Like you, I too love AVP but love Godzilla even more than those series.
YUUUUMMMMM!!!!!!!
I'm an Alien fan, and http://www.godzilla-movies.com/ is not the unique site hosted by SCIFIED also we have:
http://www.jurassicworld-movie.com/
http://www.pacificrim-movie.net/
http://www.interstellar-movie.com/
http://www.bladerunner2-movie.com/
http://www.robopocalypsemovienews.com/
http://www.prometheus2-movie.com/ with Alien Movies and
http://www.aliensversuspredator.net/ ALIENS VS. PREDATOR AVP COMMUNITY.
you should take a detailed look of the last two, you will like them
Furthermore youtube views for film trailers are misleading. We all know that most views are from die hard fans when it comes to trailers for movies. The numbers are a bit skewed from repeat viewings from rabid fans.
My best chracter would have to be my favorite Kiryu, he is fast strong and can fly plus I find his grab fun to use and his special very very useful.
I would want a open world game where you can travel the world as any of the monsters with custommizable monsters and abilities plus you would be able to unlock Pacific Rim, Gamera, Ultraman etc. including scrapped and fanmade like the Kaiju Killer and you could play online with friends or in just one giant server with up to 150 people. Also you could play as military or aliens if you want to defend cities or attack kaiju.
lol At the Hanna-Barbara eye lasers. So who is going to get this tattooed on their back?
Damn, I wanted to do this topic a while ago :/...
Oh well, you beat me to it :)
Anyway, my first Godzilla experience was when I was a child, around 4 or 5 years old. I remember I went to the flea market in my town and my grandfather had gotten me a VHS pack with 4 Godzilla movies. I can't remember which ones they were exactly, but I do remember I was disappointed because one of them had a label that said "Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla" , but it ended up being a boring movie about Greece. I had a big stuffed dinosaur that I used to recreate the scenes. I really liked it.
A couple of years later, I found Godzilla 2000 on TV and I got interested again.
My grandfather died some years ago. I get a warm feeling when I remember this. I think Godzilla movies remind me of my grandfather because thanks to him I met Godzilla.
I would say Godzilla Daikaiju and Daikessen and I forget the name but the one that living corpse x plays would have to be my favorites but in the 3d ones unleashed
i enjoy avp as well your not alone here
You misunderstand, I'm not looking for the Japanese dvd, I'm looking for the american dvd colombia/tristar release of G2000 with a JAPANESE AUDIO TRACK if there is even one in existence. I hate watching dubbed G movies, they are almost unwatchable.
@Murph Dog
there is actually a way you can unlock those sites, of course with very minor limitations. i'll post it in a sec here.
The disaster would've been worse had the steam gotten through.
