Should there be a Godzilla anime series based on the 2014 movie?

I am not sure of what ingredients a Godzilla anime would have, but it should avoid everything the movies avoided.

As for this idea; I would love it. I don't watch anime, but this would definitely get me in.

That would be nice, although I ain't really a fan of anime so I probably wouldn't watch it.

As I am a big anime fan myself i should have a lot to say about topic.... but no, all recommendations i have basically amount to one thing. APADT Godzilla: Half Century War! it has a lot places you could fill in content that would easily last 13 eps  (standard anime season length), there's lots of monsters, characters and plus the art already kind of has that manga feel to it. Now if you were talking a kids cartoon.... I got nothing. the only reason the godzilla the series did feel like godzilla movies more was because tv was letting a lot more serious shows and styles in the 90s with shows like Men in Black and Gargoyles which i doubt they could today.

i could see it as a cartoon in general, so long as its not crapy cg like green lantern and that tron series.

@SmaugTheMagnificent- You're kidding? A Cthulu anime? See now, with that on the table, surely Godzila could make the cut!

Mediafreak- I agree， Half Century War was a cut above the rest in terms of story and character. I would love to see an anime of that.

Godzilla Himself-Yeah, the animation and look of Godzilla has to be up to standard for a start.

Devianteist-That gave me an idea, maybe we'll be suggesting a Godzilla vs Cthulu anime soon! Don't know what the Lovecraft fans would think of that though...:)

an attack on titan style anime for godzilla would be nice in my opinion

Baurudabrown-Well Godzilla is a Japan-originated creature so anime would seem to fit it well naturally. But of course, other cartoon styles will work provided it gets Godzilla look and power right.
